The Plot Of Monster Hunter Wilds
The story of Monster Hunter Wilds all starts with a mysterious boy named Nata. He was discovered near an uncharted and untamed area known as the Forbidden Lands. The Hunter’s Guild once believed that this region was uninhabited. As seen in the trailers for the game, however, this was not actually the case. After his rescue, Nata recounted how his village and people who are called the Keepers were attacked by a large and mysterious monster. That terrifying creature is the one and only Arkveld, the White Wraith. It is the confirmed flagship monster for Monster Hunter Wilds.
In response to this information, the Guild organized an expedition to explore this land and unravel the mystery surrounding the White Wraith. That is where the player character, the Hunter, comes in. Players will be assigned to a special unit that is charged with this tremendous task. With high hopes, the Hunter will make the attempt to save Nata’s people and help the young boy find safety. That may be quite the difficult task with bumps along the way as shown in the trailer first shown at the recent PlayStation State of Play.
Meet the Avis and Astrum Units
According to the Monster Hunter website, the Hunter belongs to the Avis Unit. It’s a small team that also includes a charismatic Handler called Alma. She will be tasked with handling monster hunt requests, permissions, and quests. She will also accompany the Hunter to provide insight and support. Gemma, a smithy with the Research Commission, is the third human member of the Avis Unit. On the website, Nata is also included in the unit. The final and furry member of the squad is the Hunter’s Palico. It’s a Felyne so helpful that it can even prevent the Hunter from failing a quest by providing sometimes much-needed heals.
The Avis Unit will be joining the Astrum Unit for this lengthy adventure. The leader, Fabius, is a former hunter who established the Forbidden Lands Research Commission after discovering Nata. Olivia, a hammer-wielding hunter with the Guild, is joining the journey with her Palico named Athos. Also along for the ride is renowned biologist Erik who has been shown to have quite a curious personality. The final member of the Astrum Unit introduced so far is Werner, a physics and engineering specialist with a bright mind when it comes to weapon technology. He also serves as the Astrum Unit’s own smithy.
