6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
The gameplay in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is filled with action and fast-paced combat and contains different game modes for players to try such as zombies, multiplayer, and the first-ever Call of Duty Battle Royale game mode, Blackout. The game was not bad at all, it’s just more of the same game that fans of the franchise have seen in the past two or three games. There was nothing revolutionary about the gameplay, so it comes in last.
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was a direct sequel to Black Ops 1 (2010), which had a great narrative, and interesting Multiplayer. It also had some of the best Zombies maps such as Die Maschine which brought the game mode back to life. We had a chance to revisit Black Ops’ main protagonists including Mason, Woods, and Hudson prior to the unfortunate events of Black Ops 2.
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was another one of Call of Duty’s futuristic attempts and it turned out to rely extensively on Zombies mode. The Zombies mode of Black Ops 3 followed a story similar to that of earlier games, delivering some of the best maps with an unforgettable narrative featuring our favorite characters. However, the Black Ops 3 campaign had absolutely nothing to do with any part of the Black Ops series’ plotline and the Multiplayer didn’t bring it home even by implanting the Specialists system.
3. Call of Duty: World at War
The main reason to list World At War here is the story it tells us about Victor Reznov who later transfers his ideologies to Alex Mason in Black Ops 1. This was the initial game where the Zombies mode came into Call of Duty, thus giving us some of its greatest maps like Shi No Numa and Nacht Der Untoten. Both are presently being remade in newer CoD games. The Multiplayer is a dusty version of the hit Call Of Duty 4, that provides a well-balanced experience with various game modes and maps.
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops
One of the best games in the series is Call of Duty: Black Ops, which was developed by Treyarch after the huge success of Modern Warfare 2 in 2010. This game takes players around the world during the Cold War for secret missions while they are part of special forces. Its well-crafted characters and rarely disappointing plot provide gamers with an immersive multiplayer experience, making it a standout in the Call of Duty franchise.

Many fans consider that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the most exceptional game from the Call of Duty Black Ops series. It had all the good things the original Black Ops had while building upon them. The different endings in the campaign were the most engaging part of the game. Additionally, the multiplayer was refined, and at the same time, Zombies mode was at its peak. The game’s story jumps between different characters, at different times, providing a unique storytelling experience.
There have been many enjoyable moments offered by the Call of Duty: Black Ops line. Each installment has specific positive and negative areas that distinguish it from the others, but they all share the same core elements that make the franchise so beloved.
