The Yutyrannus provides great support in battles. Their courage roar enhances allied damage by 25% and reduces incoming damage by 20%. Additionally, its fear roar inflicts a debuff on enemies, increasing their damage taken by 50% and reducing their damage output by 30%. With a health stat of 1100, the Yutyrannus is a formidable ally in boss fights. Having this one tamed makes a huge difference.
Argentavis
The Argentavis is a versatile flyer. It can be used for various tasks like transportation and harvesting. These giant birds allow players to carry small to medium-sized dinos and a large amount of materials. Argentavises can also reduce the weight of carried metal by 50% and pick up heavy creatures, like the Doedicurus and Ankylosaurus. The Argentavis’s saddle has the unique ability to allow for crafting on the go.
Therizinosaurus
The Therizinosaurus is arguably the most skillful harvester in Ark: Survival Ascended. With incredible rates for wood, hide, chitin, keratin, and fiber, this dino is a must-have for resource harvesting. The Thylacoleo is an Ark: Survival Ascended tame that’s great for both combat and traveling the world. Its ability to scale walls and climb vertical surfaces makes it the perfect mount for exploring rugged terrain. With a base melee stat of 40 and a health stat of 700, it can effectively handle opponents with a lot of health. Additionally, Thylacoleo’s bleed effect inflicts significant damage over time, making it one of the most useful tames.
Ankylosaurus
The Ankylosaurus is unmatched when it comes to gathering metal. They can harvest metal, flint, and crystal efficiently. They also reduce the weight of carried metal by 85%. This dino is huge for efficient metal runs, and when paired with an Argentavis, they’re a powerful duo for gathering resources quickly and effectively. This isn’t necessarily one you need for battle, but it should be in your party regardless.
Doedicurus
The Doedicurus is the dino to use in Ark: Survival Ascended for stone gathering. They have a high gather rate, making them perfect for collecting large quantities of stone at one time. These dinosaurs also reduce the weight of carried stone by 75%. While this dino is slow, its efficiency in stone collection makes it an invaluable asset for building and crafting. I’ve been able to build various buildings easily thanks to the Doedicurus.
