Permafrost God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

The Dawning Event for 2025 has arrived. With it comes three weapons for players to farm under the new tier system. The three weapons are: Permafrost, Fimbulwinter Stitch, and Mistral Lift. Each Dawning weapon will drop a tier higher than what you are expected to get. A special Holofoil version can drop, which is two tiers higher and has a custom ornament. Permaforst is the first Stasis Wave Frame Grenade launcher added to Destiny 2.

Permafrost is a Stasis Wave Frame Grenade Launcher. Unfortunately Wave Frame’s have fallen off since the inclusion of Area Denial Grenade Launchers.

Permafrost Perks

Column 3

• Attrition Orbs, Overflow, Blast Distributor, Rimestealer, Demolitionist, Impromptu Ammunition, Lead From Gold

Column 4

• Desperate Measures, Crystalline Corpsebloom, One for All, Reaper Tithe, Puglist, Wellspring, Adrenaline Junkie

PvE God Roll

One of the best utility perks in Destiny 2 is Attrition Orbs. Permafrost can roll with that perk. It will always be a solid option. If you are looking for a more specific perk, Blast Distributor will help with grenade-oriented builds. Alternatively, you can take Lead From Gold for the additional ammo. However, that perk has fallen by the wayside with the ammo generation in the current sandbox. Reaper’s Tithe is ideal for lower-end content, while One For All is better against higher-health enemies. Crystalline Corpsebloom is the other fourth column option if you want Stasis synergy.

PvP God Roll

As a Wave Frame Grenade Launcher, there are very few use cases in PvP. Its perks do not help it much either in the Crucible. If you want the weapon for PvP, we recommend you get Desperate Measures in the fourth column. The third column perk does not matter, as they grant no bonus effects in PvP.

Acquiring Permafrost

Permafrost can drop from completing any Portal activity in Destiny 2, excluding raids and dungeons. You can buy Engrams at Eva Levante for a random Dawning weapon.
