How to unlock Cinderella in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Winter Ball has arrived, and with it, the ability to welcome Cinderella to the valley. It seems a long time coming since the Fairy Godmother has been there since nearly the beginning. And, what’s a Fairy Godmother without her charge? The quest chain is not at all difficult! Let’s get you started.
Starting the Cinderella Questline
If you haven’t done it yet, you’ll have to complete several tasks before Cinderella’s quest chain is triggered.
- Unlock Frosted Heights
- Unlock the Forgotten Lands
- Complete Olaf’s final quest
- Find the Fairy Godmother & complete her first quest
Assuming you’ve done all of that, you’ll receive a letter in your mailbox from the Fairy Godmother. She tells you that there’s an “unusual shoe” in the Plaza, and you should bring it to her when you find it.
A Glass Slipper and a Magic Pumpkin
After running all around the Plaza for a while (it’s a crowded place), the glass slipper was finally spotted at the top of the steps that go down to the Peaceful Meadow. It can take a few minutes for it to spawn in. So don’t worry if it isn’t there right away.
Once you have the shoe, take it to the Fairy Godmother, who will share the next steps. Even if she’s wandering around the valley, you’ll have to go to her house, and she’ll be there. She has a Spell Pumpkin which needs to be planted. But first, you’ll need to craft a Wish Enchantment to apply to your Watering Can.
All of the components can be found in the Forgotten Lands if you don’t have them already stored up. Get the Ginger x5, Gooseberries x5, Orange Nasturtium Flower x1, and Diamond x1. Go to a crafting table and craft the Wish Enchantment, which will be on the Potion & Enchantment tab. Use the potion to apply it to the Watering Can, then go talk to the Fairy Godmother.
Take the Spell Pumpkin outside and plant it anywhere. Water it. Then go find something to do for 15 minutes. Don’t read on if you don’t want spoilers!
Yes… But
So, 15 minutes have passed, and you go to get your magic pumpkin, but… It’s gone. Just a vine is there. Who would take a huge, shiny, gem-encrusted pumpkin? Talk to the Fairy Godmother, then go to Chez Remy to find out why he took it and get it back. Remy is a reasonable rat.
Talk to the Fairy Godmother again, and she’ll give you Cinderella’s house. Plunk that thing somewhere in the Valley. It’s pretty big. But you can move it later. It is fun to watch it kind of emerge from the ground.
Are you done? No. Now you need to put the pumpkin and eight Elegant decorations that are yellow, white, or blue near the well in the Plaza. Like, right in front of the square where the well is. It’ll be a mess, but don’t worry, you can remove those afterward, too.
Cinderella is Here!
After you’ve added your garish decorations, interact with the magic pumpkin, and Cinderella will appear from the well. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
Now that Cinderella has arrived in the Valley, you can talk with her, raise her friendship levels, and work through her friendship quests to reach the Winter Ball. Raising her friendship level should be fairly easy while working on Duties for the Star Path. Have fun spending time with your new friend!
