How to Successfully Exfil in Black Ops 7 Zombies

In Call of Duty Zombies, there is a mechanic that lets you exit a Zombies match without having to die or quit called exfil. Exfil is the method of ending a Zombies match through calling a helicopter and fighting off a final horde of zombies at the exfil location.

You have to kill all zombies within a time limit to succeed, and it’s available every few rounds, often appearing as a phone icon on the map. This also lets you earn bonus XP and rewards, more than you would get if you quit or die in a match. Here’s how to successfully exfil in Black Ops 7 Zombies.

How to Exfil in Ashes of the Damned

Typically, in Call of Duty, the ability to exfil is only available every five rounds, starting after round 11. There are multiple telephone booths scattered around the map, which are how players can initiate an exfil. These telephone booths are located in the following locations:

• Janus Towers Plaza
• Blackwater Lodge
• Ashwood

The telephone booth will only be available for a few minutes at the start of the round, so it’s important to hurry to one of the locations to call the helicopters. If you ignore the phone, it will become inactive. Alternatively, if the Round changes, players can vote to exfil. Accepting the vote will trigger your objective: Eliminating the HVT Near the Portal. The HVT will be a stronger version of the Zursa zombie bear, the Elite Enemy type of Ashes of the Damned.

As I’ve said, the HVT is an Elite Enemy type, so your objective will be quite challenging. You will not only have to survive the 2 minutes until the rescue chopper arrives to extract you, but you will also need to complete your objective before the two minutes are up. Additionally, zombies will continue to spawn during the objective; however, you don’t need to kill the zombies to be successful.

Failure to complete the objective will kill you and place the match in game over. However, if you succeed, you will be able to interact with the telephone booth to enter the Portal to the Safe House and receive the Successful Exfil game over screen.

Possible Rewards

There are a number of possible rewards you can earn when you successfully exfil from a match. These rewards include, but are not limited to:

• Bonus XP earned from the match
• Bonus rewards, such as Gobblegum
• Players can secure their progress and/or complete specific challenges and missions.

Exfil is an alternative route players can choose to end a match and avoid the game-over screen. If you don’t yet know how to complete the easter egg mission in Ashes of the Damned, or you want ot earn a little extra from your match, this is a great way to end a game and win on your own terms.
