The Herb Bride In Pathologic 3 Is Your First Patient
In Pathologic 3, you play as The Bachelor, Daniil Dankovsky, a man of science who hates all the mystical mumbo-jumbo. An isolated town in the eastern steppe is being devastated by a plague outbreak, and he must have 12 days to find a cure, or everyone is doomed. For the third installment of the Pathologic franchise, the designated Herb Bride is a dancer who is willing to be the first examinee.
The Herb Bride: A Dancer’s Ailment
The “Herb Brides” are strange, earth-connected beings integral to the town’s lore. The Dancer is one of your early, critical patients, who is suffering from something that delays Sand Pests. You will find her dancing on stage at Andrey’s pub in the town’s factory sector. It isn’t as simple as giving her an aspirin and calling it a day. Her symptoms are hidden behind layers of metaphor and physiological anomalies.
Dialogue Is a Clue!

After meeting Andrey at the bar, go over and converse with the Herb Bride Dancer on stage. In Pathologic 3, the devs added a new mechanic where the dialogue acts as a preliminary “physical” observation. Her dialogue will be indirect and metaphorical, but it contains hints about how she is physically feeling. Please pay close attention to how she describes her suffering because some hints are very vague or interwoven with more than one symptom.
Inspection Mode: The Physical Exam

Everything you observe can be noted down in the Casebook. She will mention symptoms while you converse, providing you with clues to note for her physical examination. Entering Inspection mode, you will examine her body for clues into what’s ailing her. The sections are divided into separate parts of her body, but in the Herb Bride’s case, the focus is on the front and back of her torso.
During the physical, click on anything on her body that looks strange, such as a rash, insect bites, and check her pulse. Check your Casebook to confirm you logged the findings and interpret what you heard her say from your conversation.
Utilizing Your Casebook

Through your conversations with the Herb Bride and her examination, you can open your Casebook to document details that point to various diseases. The left side shows the patient’s standard information, such as her age, habits, and the day of examination. The right-hand side is where you mark down symptoms you uncovered. You will mark your findings and interpret her verbal clues there.
On the physical examination, she has a rash on her shoulder, along with insect bites, and a scratch on her lower back. Every other part of her is clean and clear. From the front view of her body, a heart will be sitting in the lower right side of the screen, reading a rapid pulse.
Based on her responses, she mentioned shaky legs, her being aching, and her head feeling “heavy.” These cues point to loss of coordination and possibly a headache. Select those symptoms, and your list will shorten to a handful of possible illnesses. In the Casebook’s list, the disease she seems to be suffering from is Lymphotonitis.
Lock Diagnosis

Once you’ve locked into the diagnosis, you must return to Andrey at the bar to confirm your findings. With your disease diagnosis, prescribe the treatment needed for it. If your theory is correct, the Herb Bride will be okay; however, if you don’t have the right diagnosis, she will die. If you have the wrong illness, you can travel back with the Amalgam and try again.
Got Forth, Bachelor! You Are Ready!
With this mission completed, you can start examining more people around the town. It’s important you don’t rush through the dialogue and physical exam because your patients depend on it. You need to read between the lines and listen closely to what your patient is saying. They won’t be wholeheartedly truthful to you, so take your time. If you administer a medication that doesn’t fit the profile, people will die, supplies will run low, and public morale will turn hostile.
