Resident Evil Requiem – Ada Wong Won’t Be Joining Leon According to Leaks
As one of the most iconic characters in the Resident Evil series, Ada Wong makes appearances here and there throughout the franchise. Usually, she is paired up with another fan-favorite character, Leon Kennedy, and ever since the first Leon rumors have come out about Resident Evil Requiem, some fans have speculated whether Ada Wong will also make an appearance in this installment. According to one leaker, that is not the case, and here’s all we know about it.
Will Ada Wong Make An Appearance in Requiem?

Last month, Capcom confirmed one of the biggest rumors of Requiem, revealing fan-favorite character Leon would be making his return to the series as a playable character, alongside newcomer Grace Ashcroft, after 13 years of being absent from the series. The rumor mill had gone on for months, crafting many different theories about Leon’s return in Requiem, and since announcing his return, people are chomping at the bit for the game’s highly anticipated launch.
Now that Capcom has finally confirmed one of the best details about Requiem, fans are now wondering who else will show up, and many people have landed on Ada Wong, our favorite mercenary for hire, who seems to shadow Leon wherever he goes.
From being hired to steal the G-Virus mutagen in Resident Evil 2, a sample of the “Las Plagas” parasite in Resident Evil 4, and investigating a national security advisor in Resident Evil 6, the common denominator is that Ada Wong always shows up in games where Leon is the main character. So, are fans on the right track, or are they reaching for straws with this one?
According to One Leaker, It Probably Won’t Happen
According to game leaker Dusk Golem, Ada Wong most likely won’t appear in Resident Evil Requiem. After it was revealed that Leon would be a second playable character alongside Grace Ashcroft, many fans speculated on the notion that Ada Wong would also appear in Requiem, given how she’s been present in every Resident Evil game Leon has appeared in.
Dusk Golem took to social media to calm the rumor mill a bit with all the talk about Ada. With Capcom releasing a promotional image showcasing more gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem on Jan. 15, Dusk Golem posted the promotional image on his X account, asking fans what they think the red bullets on the image meant. Many fans automatically thought of Ada, given that the character famously wears a red dress and red lipstick.
After comments about Ada flooded Dusk Golem’s post, they wanted to set the record straight, telling people not to get their hopes up. Just because red bullets appear in this promotional poster doesn’t automatically translate to another iconic character’s return. However, it would be quite surprising if Ada did not make an appearance in Requiem, given her relationship with Leon. Dusk Golem’s response reads:
“People thinking it’s Ada: You’re setting yourself up for disappointment. And I question why you think red bullets = Ada, Ada’s never used red bullets before.”
