REANIMAL Nintendo Switch 2 Demo Has Launched into Our Nightmares!

It’s finally out and already has us on edge! The REANIMAL demo is out and is compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 on its demo release! Take this little nightmare on the go or within you under the covers! REANIMAL’s demo is currently available for download on the Nintendo eShop.

As one of the most anticipated games of 2026, REANIMAL drops us into an atmospheric underworld of dark waters, decaying villages, dusty factories, and decimated streets littered with gargantuan monstrosities. Playing as a brother-sister duo, you must navigate this purgatory while trying not to get eaten, crushed, captured, or plummet to your death.

Tarsier Studios – the minds that gave us the Little Nightmares franchise – has manifested a horrific world where grotesque humanoid-like monsters reign while children scurry about the small openings. With smooth graphics, unique creature designs, and a co-op feature, REANIMAL shapes out to be a great modern spin on “The Inferno” from the perspective of children. Now, you can carry that wonderfully awful realm in your very hands on the Nintendo Switch 2 for free!

For those Non-Nintendo owners who just crawled out from their hiding spots, the demo is also available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can find the free downloadable demos on the PlayStation and Xbox Stores and on Steam!

While it’s a thrill to be able to see the gameplay on the Switch 2, it is only the free demo that has been dropped. The full version of REANIMAL is set to open its harbor Feb. 13, 2026. For now, you can pre-order the full game! And to make the wait more unbearable, there are two downloadable versions of the game that you can pre-order on the Nintendo, Xbox, Steam, and PlayStation stores.

  • Standard ($39.99): the base game
  • Deluxe Edition ($59.99): a season pass to the DLCs and exclusive in-game masks, “Foxhead” and “Muttonhead”
    • A sale for the Deluxe is offering a 10 percent discount ($53.99). It ends on the full version’s launch date at 8:59 AM EST.

REANIMAL is Taking Over Friday the 13th This Year!

Tarsier Studios’ REANIMAL is kicking Jason Voohees out of the cabins this year. Coming out on Friday the 13th this Feb., we are going to experience the ultimate immersion as we sprint through the misty dusty streets of an abandoned town as The Boy and The Girl. Do your best to evade monsters, join other ragtag groups of orphans through trenches, hide away from creature-infested factories, and try to hold onto the sliver of hope that there is a peaceful paradise beyond this nightmareish prison.
