LoL Esports Week One Results Recap: HLE, AL and G2 Slump
The first week of LoL Esports action saw the introduction of First Selection. A vast majority of teams decided to take the first pick in the draft. The teams responded by picking Blue Side. The LCK and LCP also introduced Coach Voice. It allows coaches to communicate with their players during a match. Results-wise, most went as expected, but G2 Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, and Anyone’s Legend struggled in the opening week.
LoL Esports: LCK Week One Results

KT Rolster and DN SOOPers kicked off the 2026 LCK season with a nail-biting series. Many of the matches went as fans expected. Both of Nongshim Redforce’s series had shocks. NS convincingly lost 2-0 to BFX, but followed the loss by defeating HLE 2-0. T1 survived a scare after narrowly defeating DRX in the final series of the week.

LoL Esports: LPL Week One Results
With Viper joining Bilibili Gaming, they soared to a 3-0 week in the LPL. Top Esports, with a new jungler and bot lane, expectedly went 0-2. Split 2 2025 champions, Anyone’s Legend had a difficult start without Coach Tabe. They lost to BLG and Tabe’s new team, JD Gaming.

LoL Esports: LEC Week One Results

The LEC Versus, featuring twelve teams, saw some surprising results. G2 Esports lost both of their series, while SK Gaming upset Fnatic. Los Ratones’ entrance into the LEC has been disappointing, following their losses to FNC and Karmine Corp Blue. Movistar KOI took down their two rivals in the form of G2 and Karmine Corp.

LoL Esports: LCP Week One Results
After dominating the LCP last year, CTBC Flying Oyster lost their first series of the year. The result does not come as a surprise, considering they lost the majority of their roster. Team Secret Whales sits on top of the standings, winning their first two series.

LoL Esports: CBLOL Week One Results
Last year’s MSI representatives, FURIA, are top of the standings after winning all three of their opening series. paiN Gaming, without TitaN, went 0-3. The team suspended the long-standing AD carry following sexual harassment allegations against him. The LTA South Champions, Vivo Keyd Stars, lost to LOS, but remain at a 2-1 record.
