LCK Cup Week 2 Predictions: Another Balanced Week on the Cards?
The second week of the LCK Cup should promise ramping-up action. With teams adjusting to the right of First Selection, Coach Comms, and the meta, they should improve. Hanwha Life Esports will need to recover after a disappointing start to the LCK Cup. They should have a better second week. Which group will emerge in front of the other, with one week of matches still to play?
Total Apex LCK Cup Week 2 Predictions

Based on our early predictions for the second week of the LCK Cup, the groups remain tied. Most of that hinges on HLE recovering from a disastrous opening week.
Dplus KIA Versus Nongshim Redforce
Prediction: DK 2-1
Dplus KIA was one of four teams to emerge with a 2-0 record. They joined Gen.G Esports as the only teams not dropping a game. They are the favorites against Nongshim Redforce. However, NS presents a sterner test than any of DK’s previous opponents.
DRX Versus DN SOOPers
Prediction: DRX 2-1
Both teams lost their matches last week. However, despite their losses, they showed some promise. DRX, especially, took the fight to Gen.G Esports and T1. They had a chance to take a game against Gen.G and beat T1 in game two. They should be the favorites in this series.
HANJIN BRION Versus Hanwha Life Esports
Prediction: HLE 2-0
As weird as it is to say, HANJIN BRION and HLE are the other two 0-2 teams. HLE needs to bounce back after losing to NS. They should pull that off against BRO. BRO has looked to be the weakest team in the LCK so far, given that they had an entire roster swap.
FearX Versus Gen.G Esports
Prediction: 2-0 Gen.G
FearX has impressed in the early days of the LCK Cup. They dismantled NS in their first. However, they did drop a game to BRO. VicLa has shown significant improvement, but he faces a stern test. Laning against Chovy will determine how much he has improved. Gen.G will struggle more in this match compared to last week, but should emerge victorious.
KT Rolster Versus T1
Prediction: T1 2-1
The rematch of the 2025 World Championship final. Since then, both teams have made adjustments to their rosters. The AD carry matchup is entirely different. T1 has looked dominant, but at times, the circus has taken over. Their overconfidence in plays, like always, has led to them losing games or having to work harder for wins.
Nongshim Redforce Versus DRX
Prediction: NS 2-1
After narrowly losing out to DK, NS should recover and defeat DRX. However, that is contingent on them playing as they did against HLE, not BFX. DRX has shown that they will pounce on any mistakes. It is one series that could go either way.
Hanwha Life Esports Versus DN SOOPers
Prediction: HLE 2-0
After steadying the ship against BRO, HLE should have another dominant performance. DNS’s level is better than what they showed last year, but HLE should be the better team if they manage to connect.
Dplus KIA Versus Gen.G Esports
Prediction: Gen.G 2-1
The de facto match of the week. Both teams won their series 2-0 in the first week. They have set themselves up for a blockbuster matchup. Gen.G has looked more well-rounded and should be the best team in the LCK Cup.
T1 Versus FearX
Prediction: T1 2-0
Two teams with similar styles. Both T1 and BFX want to fight you for every inch on the rift. The difference between the teams has often been that T1 has superior macro play. That should be on display, but happy gaming from T1 might cause them to lose.
KT Rolster Versus HANJIN BRION
Prediction: KT 2-0
With BRO still in that phase of building synergy, they should struggle in this matchup. KT has not been incredible by any means, but they are performing better than what BRO has shown so far.
