Warframe: The Ultimate Platinum Farming Guide 2024

Most free-to-play titles nowadays have a premium in-game currency. This currency is used for monetization, and its function within games is usually to buy skins, emotes, skip timers, and more. Warframe’s premium currency Platinum, though available for purchase with real-life money, is one of the least intrusive in the gaming industry. Platinum farming is commonplace within Warframe due to the game’s player-led economy.

Relics Are New Players’ Best Friends

Many new players need Platinum to manage their inventory slots. This is one of the first hurdles that players come across in Warframe. The easiest and most common Platinum farming method is Relics. When certain missions or goals have been completed, the player may be rewarded with a Relic. Relics contain loot based on their tier, and you can check what loot a Relic has by hovering over it. Relics primarily contain Prime parts used to create Prime weapons and Warframes. They can be upgraded for a higher chance at a rare reward. To crack open a Relic, head to a Void Fissure mission in Navigation.

Within the Void Fissure mission, you must collect 10 Reactant to open the Relic. Reactant is dropped randomly from slain enemies. If enough Reactant is collected, you will be rewarded the Relic’s contents at the end of the mission. Once you have acquired a Prime part, head to warframe.market and list the item for sale. Another player will eventually message you in-game to purchase the item. You will either need access to a clan Dojo to trade, or you will have to meet at Maroo’s Bazaar to trade. The in-game trading chat is notoriously filled with scammers and people trying to rip off new players, so generally, it’s best to avoid that channel.

Early Game Platinum Farming Methods

Another easily accessible method of farming Platinum is by collecting and selling Corrupted mods. This set of mods is acquired from vaults on Deimos. Simply buy every Dragon Key blueprint from your clan Dojo, craft them, and equip all of them onto your gear wheel. Each key debuffs your Warframe in some way. Once equipped, select the capture mission Horend on Deimos and search the map for a vault door, pictured above. One random Dragon Key will be required to open the vault. Collect the Corrupted mod inside and sell it for Platinum. Depending on the mod, you may see profits close to 10-20 per unranked mod. Ranked mods will sell for higher.

Other mods, such as Silver Grove mods and Dual Stat mods, also sell fairly often. Access to the Silver Grove is locked behind the Silver Grove Quest. The most valuable Dual Stat mods are mods that have a 60% status chance and 60% status effect at max rank. Nightwave Aura mods are also very easy mods to sell. Nightwave is the completely free ‘battle pass’ of Warframe. Leveling up in Syndicates and gaining access to Augment mods is highly profitable as well, as there is always a demand for Augments. Speaking of Syndicates, open-world bounties also reward valuable mods such as the Auger set and Weeping Wounds. Nightmare missions also reward highly sought-after mods.

Endgame Methods Require More Effort

Most endgame Platinum farming methods require completion of the Star Chart. However, it grants access to the Steel Path and more importantly Arbitrations, which is an excellent way to accumulate wares to sell for Platinum. Arbitrations reward Ayatan Sculptures, high-value mods, and Vitus Essence. Vitus Essence can be traded in for Galvanized mods which are always in demand. Another high-tier mod farm is grinding Khal missions. At Khal’s garrison (unlocked after completing ‘The New War’ quest), Archon mods are purchasable for 40 Stock. Each Archon mod sells for about 25 Platinum.

Arcanes are a major market. Some are easy to acquire, but some require a full gear setup or access to endgame areas. With the introduction of Arcane Dissolution through Loid (unlocked after completing the ‘Whispers in the Walls’ quest), you can now dissolve less valuable and extra Arcanes into Vosphor. You can then use Vosphor to trade for more Arcanes, creating a near-endless cycle of profit. Eidolon hunts, Zariman Ten Zero missions, and the Duviri Circuit are great areas for Arcane farming. Depending on the Arcane, one at max rank can sell for upwards of 800 Platinum. Rivens are also an extremely profitable market, but those mods are entirely RNG dependant.

Closing Thoughts

These are just a few of the many Platinum farming methods within Warframe. Each method has its perks and its downsides. The most efficient farming location for mid-late game players is Void Cascade Omnia Fissures, and this will likely be the best spot for Platinum for years to come. If running these missions with a mod drop chance booster, Arcanes will drop like candy. Pair this with an Omnia Fissure and crack open Relics to double your profits. Platinum farming can seem like a daunting task to many, but it is extremely accessible in Warframe.
