As September draws to a close, the release of Ys X: Nordics comes closer and closer. There’s still plenty of copies of both the Deluxe Edition and the Limited Edition of the game, but where are you supposed to go to find one? With Nordics releasing next month, let’s take a look at how you can order a copy before release and what preorder bonuses each edition has.
About the Game
Ys X: Nordics is the newest entry in the Ys series, taking place after the events of Ys 1 and Ys 2 but before Memories of Celceta. In Nordics, 17-year-old Adol Christin finds himself somewhere north of Eresia where pirates keep the region safe from monsters called Griegr. The game features similar mechanics to Lacrimosa of Dana and Monstrum Nox, as well as wholly new mechanics like naval combat and Mana Actions. It’s set to release on October 25 of this year, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition of Ys X: Nordics is available from multiple retailers, depending on your region. In North America, it’s available from GameStop, Amazon, or Best Buy. For Oceania, it’s available either from EB Games or JB Hifi. Meanwhile, for Europe, there are several retailers that Ys X: Nordics’ Deluxe Edition can be purchased from, including Amazon, Media Markt, World of Games, or Gameware. The listed price varies depending on the region and retailer, but the US price is listed as $59.99. Nordics’ Deluxe Edition comes with a copy of the game, a digital download of the game’s soundtrack, and a miniature art book. The Deluxe Edition is available on three platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
Limited Edition
Unlike the Deluxe Edition, the Limited Edition of Ys X: Nordics is only available from NIS – NIS America’s store for North America, their UK store for the United Kingdom, or their EU store for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It’s listed at $104.99 USD, £79.16, and €104,99 respectively on those three websites. While the Deluxe Edition has been available since February of this year, the Limited Edition was only made available in July of this year. Nordics’ Limited Edition comes with a copy of the game, a collector’s box, an art book, a Digipak mini soundtrack, a pin, a set of postcards, and a sling bag. Like the Deluxe Edition, it’s available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Whether you choose to preorder the Deluxe Edition or the Limited Edition, or whether you choose to wait for the game to release next month, Ys X: Nordics looks to be another great entry in the Ys series. Before Nordics releases, there are also other games in the series to check out.
