Mega Man 11 Boss Order, Tips, and Tricks

Mega Man 11

Mega Man 11 is the most recent game in the long-running series, debuting in 2018. 11 came out when the franchise needed more new content. It was a complete reinvigoration of the franchise that brought Mega Man back. 11’s most well-received features are its gameplay and boss. Mega Man 11‘s bosses look challenging, but you can win with enough practice. This guide will help you remove the Robot Masters and Dr. Wily’s latest inventions.

Robot Masters (First Set)

Mega Man 11 is a newcomer-friendly game. The game centers on Rock and has no guest appearances from outside characters. Neither Bass nor Proto Man are present in the story. The story focuses on Rock fighting against Wily to stop his latest scheme. Wily uses the Double Gear System, a mechanic he and Light created years ago. Wily and Light’s past are at the forefront of the game’s story. Rock uses the Double Gear System to stop the evil doctor’s ambitions again.

Mega Man 11 introduces the Double Gear system, giving you more versatility in combat. The Speed Gear lets you speed up to avoid blows. The Power Gear boosts your firepower or charges up for a powerful blast. Outside of that, the hero maintains his slide, Rush, and charge shot.

Block Man:

The first robot master on your list is Block Man, who resides in the Block Man Stage. Block Man worked in outer construction before he was reprogrammed. His lair resembles a set of ruins, filled with conveyor belts, and block traps. Not being careful, Mega Man will fall or be crushed on the stage.

Block Man’s Stage is the least challenging boss for members to deal with. Block Man’s first phase has him run around the stage and throw blocks at you. His second phase makes the pint-sized robot master into a giant amalgam of blocks with the Power Gear. Block Man’s weakness is the Chain Blast, wielded by Blast Man. Coupled with the Power Gear, Chain Blast can shred through his health bar. After beating Block Man, you gain his Block Dropper weapon.

Acid Man:

Your next combatant is Acid Man, who resides in the Acid Man Stage. Acid Man was a chemist robot before Wily reprogrammed him. His stage is a Chemical Plant filled with wasteful acid solutions and spikes. Players will avoid the corrosive green acid because it will drain Rock’s stamina bar. Acid Man is visible, chasing Mega Man through the stage.

Acid Man is immune to the Mega Buster with his Acid Barrier. Because of this, the attack will do no damage when he has the shield up. Acid Man will always fire three shots of acid into the air. Block Stopper eliminates the attack and leaves him stunned. Use this opening to attack Acid Man and do some damage. With the Speed Gear, Acid Man is fast, surfing around the stage and firing acid shots. Do your best to avoid the attacks and end the chemical creep with Block Stopper.

Impact Man:

Impact Man is the next Robot Master and resides in the Impact Man Stage. Before reprogramming, Impact Man was a dutiful robot who always got the job done. His stage is an abandoned construction zone with enemies based on construction equipment. Most notable are the ‘Impact Brothers’, three separate robots that form his body. They attack the character throughout the stage, so keep a close eye on them.

Impact Man will skewer Mega Man when he gets too close. He also fires out three spikes to try and trap you. Jump over both of these attacks and blast him. Using the Power Gear, Impact Man’s second phase turns him into a giant piledriver. He will impale you three times, so slide before he gets close. Acid Man’s Acid Barrier will melt Impact Man’s defenses, deconstructing the construction robot.

Bounce Man:

After fighting Impact Man, you should fight Bounce Man. Bounce Man is an energetic and cheerful robot master. He was created to be a crash test dummy but became a fitness instructor. His elasticity is a trait beloved by children. Bounce Man’s stage is Boing-Bong Park, an amusement park he works at. The stage features numerous bouncing pads that you hop on. It is guaranteed to get you excited as you venture through it.

Bounce Man is quick and moves around the stage. He will bounce diagonally, stop in mid-air, and strike Mega Man. Bounce Man can also use his arms to grapple and cling onto surfaces to pull himself closer. He can crush Mega Man by slamming his body into the ground. Bounce Man’s second phase will always make him bounce harder, which makes him harder to hit. A charged shot is only going to make Bounce Man bounce harder. Use Impact Man’s Pile Driver to puncture the stretchy robot master. Pile Driver leaves his body disassembled before he repairs himself. After you defeat Bounce Man, his Bounce Ball is yours to take.

Robot Masters (Second Set)

Fuse Man:

Fuse Man is in the Fuse Man Stage, an electrical power plant. Fuse Man manages electrical power in power plants. Because of how busy his job is, he only has time to care for his pet rabbit, Watt. Fuse Man’s Stage is hazardous and filled with electricity-powered obstacles. Electrified Surfaces will stun Mega Man if he lands on them. Electric cannons damage Mega Man if he touches them, so watch out. These cannons can also appear in specific patterns like crosses.

Fuse Man teleports around and fires lightning-quick blasts to strike you. Four electric spheres surround Fuse Man while he moves around the stage. The four electric spheres rotate around him, so dodge when they get too close to you. Fuse Man fires two electric blasts before repositioning himself, so watch his moves. Using the Speed Gear, Fuse Man will rocket into the ground like a lightning bolt. He telegraphs where he lands for one second, so make sure to dodge. Use Bounce Man’s Bounce Ball to scramble Fuse Man’s circuits. Beating Fuse Man gives you his Scramble Thunder attack.

Tundra Man:

Tundra Man dwells in the Tundra Man Stage, a frozen museum. Tundra Man was a surveillance robot created by Dr. Cossack to monitor environmental changes. After years of loneliness, Tundra Man became a professional figure skater. Tundra Man’s Stage is Mega Man 11′s typical icy boss stage for these games. The ground is slippery, so it hinders Mega Man’s speed. Icy spikes are placed around the stage for you to slip into.

Tundra Man is a charismatic robot who likes to spin around with flashy twirls. He skates back and forth between the room to bump into Mega Man. Fuse Man’s Scrumble Thunder will short-circuit the ice skater and stun him. After he takes enough damage, Tundra Man will enter his second phase. Tundra Man uses the Speed Gear for an added boost. He will zip around the stage to hit Mega Man numerous times. Beating Tundra Man gives you his Tundra Storm.

Torch Man:

Torch Man rests in the Torch Man Stage, the mountainous outdoors. Torch Man taught people about campfire safety. He’s a martial arts practitioner, its presence calming the flames in his body. Torch Man built a martial arts style around his fire named Torch-Jutsu. His stage is a forest filled with fiery enemies, like the owl-like Lampers.

Torch Man is reminiscent of Magma Dragoon, a fan-favorite Mega Man boss from Mega Man X4. Torch Man moves the same, a flurry of fiery kicks and fireballs. He is unpredictable and will move from one attack to another. Torch Man’s Power Gear attack has him create three massive fireballs you must avoid. Afterward, he will jump and slam down, creating a flame pillar. The best way to douse torch Man’s flames is with Tundra Man’s Tundra Storm. Once you brave the heat from his attacks, Torch Man’s Torch-Jutsu is yours to command as the Blazing Toch.

Blast Man:

Blast Man is the final Robot Master for Mega Man 11, situated in the Blast Man Stage. Explosion is art, and none exemplify that more than Blast Man. This robot master provides explosive special effects for films. Blast Man’s Stage is a hybrid between a movie studio and an amusement park. His face is on the signs throughout the stage. Blast Man’s stage gimmicks include explosive blocks and rocket-propelled enemies full of bombs.

Blast Man is aggressive and likes to play keep-away with his bombs. He throws out a chain of bombs to blow you up. He creates a hovering set of bombs that will track you. His Power Gear attack fires two rows of three humungous bombs for more damage. Torch Man’s Blazing Torch is Blast Man’s weakness because it detonates his bombs prematurely. Once Blast Man’s gone out with a bang, Mega Man gains his Chain Blast ability.

Wily’s Fortress (10):

Congratulations, you have gone through all eight of the Robot Masters. Things will inevitably get bigger from here: Doctor Wily is on the horizon. Welcome to the Gear Fortress, a new spin on Wily’s traditional ‘castle‘ setups for Mega Man 11. The Gear Fortress has four components you must go through.

Gear Fortress 1 (Yellow Devil MK-III):

Gear Fortress 1 is a simple stage that puts you outside the Castle. Mega Man has to navigate through gear platforms, vanishing blocks, spike traps, and enemies. Use Acid Man’s Acid Barrier to protect you while jumping on the gear platforms.

Your first threat is the Yellow Devil MK-III, Mega Man 11′s new spin on the iconic Yellow Devil. If you are familiar with the Yellow Devil’s previous incarnations, then you know what to do. Dodge the Yellow Devil’s blocks as they come to you. Use Blast Man’s Chain Blast to hit the Yellow Devil.

Gear Fortress 2 (Mawverne):

Gear Fortress 2 puts you against the Skull Rollers, moving walls that can kill you if they get too close. Destroy the ‘Skull Pillars’, sentient pillars obstructing your path. The player will jump through a segment featuring skull rollers on both sides. Failure to do so results in Mega Man being crushed between both sides and dying.

The main threat is the Mawverne, a strange dome-shaped creature that shoots electricity. The machine always telegraphs its laser beams before it fires them. Move out of the way and use Bouncing Man’s Bouncing Ball. It is Mawverne’s weakness and can do enough damage to kill them.

Gear Fortress 3 (Robot Master Rematch):

Gear Fortress 3 brings you against the Robot Masters for a rematch. Remember what you learned and defeat the Robot Masters once more. Proceed to fight Wily and end Mega Man 11’s story, stopping his latest kooky scheme.

Gear Fortress 4 (Wily Machine 11 & Wily Capsule 11):

In Gear Fortress 4, you face off against the Wily Machine 11 and foil Wily’s evil schemes. Wily’s final machine gears up for one incredible fight in Mega Man 11. Hop on the missiles from its backend to get close to its face. Acid Man’s Acid Barrier or Blast Man’s Chain Blast should do good damage. Wily’s second phase activates after he takes significant damage. Upon beating it, Machine 11 will break and give way to Wily Capsule 11.

Wily Capsule 11 uses gear projectiles to home in on Megaman. Acid Barrier can protect you from these attacks. Capsule 11 orbits around the room quickly with Speed Gear. Power Gear, on the other hand, creates hammers made of gears to bash you. Wily Capsule will unleash Double Gear and alternate between its functions. Dodge Wily’s attacks and use Acid Barrier to beat Wily. Once you have beaten the old doctor, you will complete Mega Man 11.
