This week, players inadvertently received a major hint in these aspects, as the official achievement list for Veilguard was leaked online.
What Happened
Available for some console players, the preload for Dragon Age the Veilguard went live on Oct 14, 2024, and with it came access to the full list of achievements set for the game. Fans were quick to disseminate the information online, sparking both excitement and controversy by doing so.
The player base, and die-hard fans of the franchise, were initially split on the leak -citing either disapproval in sharing what was considered a massive spoiler, or enthusiasm in knowing more about the game. Given the sensitive nature of the leak, many well-known and highly influential Dragon Age Youtubers have gone on record, in the days since the leak, warning fans to avoid it at all costs. Kala Elizabeth, a Dragon Age creator with over 25,000 subscribers, one of the few people to have full access to the game before release, and an avid enthusiast of all things Dragon Age the Veilguard, released a nearly five-minute video warning players about the leak.
“As we near the release of Veilguard, I just want to give a heads-up to everybody that spoilers and leaks are going to be common the closer we get to the game,” Kala noted, before going on to inform players of the upcoming potential of even more spoilers when referring to the early-review copies being released soon. Stating: “I fully expect the people that were given early previews to be careful and professional, but we did see with the last embargo that there were some accidents.
