Dungeons are one of the best and most challenging endgame activities in Destiny 2. They provide a shorter yet similar experience to Raids. Requiring three players to efficiently complete, players must complete three encounters out of which 2 are boss encounters most of the time. These Dungeons are also completable solo and offer various rewards for those who brave this challenge. With the latest Dungeon Vesper’s Host released in the Revenant Episode, there are now 9 Dungeons in the game. This article will go over three of the hardest bosses in Destiny 2 Dungeons.
Persys, Primordial Ruin
Persys, Primordial Ruin is the final boss of the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon. This Dungeon offers an extremely simple mechanic, where players have to connect the dots. This encounter is no different, players connect different nodes to bait the boss to the other room. Once the boss is inside, players have to shoot the outside nodes to trap the boss.
Upon successful implementation of the mechanics, the boss shields will be removed and he will be damageable. This is where things get tricky, as Persys is a Vex Wyvern and he is ruthless. This boss will constantly charge toward players while shooting Void projectiles that deal massive damage. The crit spot on the boss is also difficult to shoot at, making it even harder to deal damage to a boss that has a massive health pool.
Simmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer
Simmumah ur-Nokru is the final boss of the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon and this boss is just annoying. Being a Lucent Hive enemy, this boss constantly spawns Hive Moths that track and damage the players. Other than that, players also need to create a Triangle by standing in various spots and killing a specific enemy. After that, symbols will be revealed and players will need to go inside three side rooms and kill a Hive Guardian.
Killing the Hive Guardian will give a symbol to the player. Once the symbols have been deposited the damage will start and it is challenging. Hive enemies will constantly spawn in and Simmumah will barrage the players with her constant Arc attacks. Combined with her ability to teleport at will, makes this boss encounter one of the hardest in Destiny 2.
The Corrupted Puppeteer
The Corrupted Puppeteer is the final boss of the Vesper’s Host Dungeon. It is one of the most challenging encounters that rivals some encounters of Raids in terms of difficulty. The mechanics are simple but involve a lot of chances where players can mess up. The copies of The Corrupted Puppeteer, as well as the Radiation debuff, are deadly.
Finally, the boss arena is extremely chaotic. There are a lot of copies of the boss that are relentless and do some high damage. The health pool of the bosses and copies is also huge. Combined with the constant lightning strikes that one shot the players are a constant threat requiring players to keep moving during the damage phase.
