Trials of Osiris is the endgame PvP activity and offers some of the most pinnacle rewards in Destiny 2. Episode Revenant launched with two brand-new weapons for this game mode. Yesterday’s Question is one such weapon and is the first Arc-based Heavy Burst Hand Cannon. Trials of Osiris weapons come with an exclusive weapon trait called Alacrity. It gives the gun massive bonuses in range, stability, aim assistance, and reload speed. However, these bonuses are only active when the person is the last living member of the fire team or is running solo.
Yesterday’s Question Overview
Yesterday’s Question is a Heavy Burst Hand Cannon in Destiny 2 that has Arc affinity. Being a Heavy Burst, this weapon fires two shots at a time. This makes it deal some of the highest damage in PvE. These weapons fall behind other Hand Cannons in The Crucible due to the lack of peek-shot potential and the higher time to kill. This weapon has some amazing perk options, however, for both PvE and PvP.
This Trials of Osiris weapon comes with 14 perk options. In the left column, this weapon comes with To the Pain, Rapid Hit, Dragonfly, Lone Wolf, Fourth Time’s The Charm, Closing Time, and Air Trigger. In the right column, this weapon can roll with Zen Moment, Vorpal Weapon, Voltshot, Moving Target, Eye of the Storm, Headseeker, and Desperate Measures.
PvE God Roll
For PvE, players want to boost the Reload Speed as high as possible as this weapon archetype is lacking in that department. Players can improve this by using Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel perk, Light Mag as the Magazine option, and a Reload Speed Masterwork. In the left column, players must consider Rapid Hit as the perk for improving the Reload Speed of the weapon. Fourth Time’s The Charm is an amazing perk that pairs well with the Vorpal Weapon in the right column.
Vorpal Weapon allows this weapon to deal 20 percent bonus damage to enemy bosses in Destiny 2. This combined with Fourth Time’s the Charm returning two ammo to the magazine upon getting four rapid Precision hits, allows this weapon to deal massive DPS for a primary ammo weapon. Voltshot is another great perk in the right column, providing Arc synergy as well as crowd control.
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Light Mag
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Left Column: Rapid Hit, Fourth Time’s the Charm
- Right Column: Voltshot, Vorpal Weapon
PvP God Roll
For The Crucible, players want to boost the range of the weapon as much as possible. Smallbore should be used as the Barrel perk, Ricochet Rounds as the Magazine option, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, Lone Wolf is the best option for PvP. It provides improved aim assist, aim down sight speed, and airborne effectiveness. This effect is boosted when no allies are nearby.
In the right column, there are several good perk options. Moving Target improves the weapon’s aim assist and movement speed. Zen Moment improves the stability and recoil direction of the weapon. Eye of the Storm is a great dueling perk that boosts the weapon Handling and Aim Assist as the health gets lower.
- Barrel: Smallbore
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Masterwork: Range
- Left Column: Lone Wolf
- Right Column: Zen Moment, Eye of the Storm
