Fortnite Battle Royale has gone through monumental changes over the years. It all started as a humble and fun time on a simplified map and evolved into one of the biggest games of all time. Fortnite has earned a reputation for being a great set of maps to be remembered fondly or otherwise for its distinct styles and meta shake-ups. Fortnite’s variety of maps provided players with an integral sense of fun that would rarely run dry, and the design of these maps would constantly twist and change to shape up into something exciting and fresh. With Fortnite currently in Chapter 5, it’s time to look at every map and see how they compete.
Best Fortnite Maps Vote
Over the years, Fortnite has offered a variety of locations to play in on Fortnite island. A match wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Tilted Towers, Loot Lake, or Retail Row. Ten new Fortnite Creator Islands are on the list for the coveted Island of the Year award at The Game Awards, and you get to help decide which among them is the best, so choose wisely.
With changes coming up with another Fortnite season update and the end of another year, there is The Game Awards Vote for Fortnite. It debuted last year and has been refreshed with a lot of new Island variations to check out and vote for. Every one of them holds a different variant of Arena in which to test your combat skills. Not only that, but this year’s award ceremony has a slick new host: the one and only MetaHuman Geoff Keighley.
Digital Host
This year’s digital Keighley is an obvious improvement over last year’s version. Where last year’s hologram look was created using a greenscreen video capture, this year’s uses MetaHuman to deliver a more realistic depiction and is well worth the wait.
The return of a MetaHuman host started in Epic Games. It was announced in March and was created with high-fidelity digital humans. It can now be used in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). A digital Keighley was transformed into a MetaHuman, all thanks to him traveling to 3Lateral in Manchester to undergo a face and body scan, making our digital host possible.
Our MetaHuman host and his team selected this year’s nominated islands, which are a healthy mix offering a variety of genres and styles that include some spectacular uses of UEFN. Here’s the full list of their selected Islands below. So, use this opportunity to get to playing and voting. May the best map win!
