Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is taking a turn for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Some of the conflict above seems to have caught the attention of some of the greatest heroes the sewer has ever had. They aren’t the only surprises that have come. Call of Duty Warzone Season 2 has brought the four pizza-loving mutant ninjas, new multiplayer maps, Warzone updates, and more. There are new maps, new perks, skins, and abilities, and it all is coming on the 27th.
TMNT Coming to Black Ops
This isn’t the first time these heroes in a half shell have answered the call to crossover to other games. They have left the security of their own universe and played with Sonic, Garfield, and Ghostbusters. They have also been in other combat events like Street Fighter 6, Cobra Kai, and Batman.
TMNT’s story began in comic books by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird back in 1984. They told the story of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo. Four anthropomorphic turtle brothers were trained in the martial art of ninjutsu. Quietly fulfilling the call to fight evil in New York City, the franchise has grown into television, films, video games, and merchandise.
When Did the Call Start?
Call of Duty started back in 2003 and hasn’t stopped growing since then. This militaristic first-person shooter has been one of the most popular video games ever invented. Over the years, there hasn’t been a shortage of characters ready to test their mettle in Call of Duty. Black Ops doesn’t disappoint, as it has had several historical and real-life characters. Characters like Jonas Savimbi, Manuel Noriega, Oliver North, and David Petraeus.
Now that the TMNTs are in Black Ops 6, they are bringing with them two new Multiplayer maps, six new weapons, and a fast-moving battlefield train. With the Ninja Turtles comes the Grind Ooze skatepark being decorated from top to bottom in TMNT décor. There is also the Bullet Strike, the bullet train that streaks through the Black Ops map. Players also have the opportunity to try their TMNT skills in the Moshpit, where they have the Turtles abilities.
Skins, Modes, and Power-Ups
Another new addition to the Event Pass is the TMNT skins. Two of the skins that players can get are the Foot Clan soldiers that can be earned in the free area. For the third skin, however, players have to go the premium route, but they can earn Master Splinter. There are also the four Ninja Turtle Bundles themselves, which can be purchased in the CoD Store. The Turtle Bundles seem to have to be purchased individually and can cost as much as $80 each. So, if you want to have all four, it might put a dent in your wallet.
For undead haters, there is Cowabunga Cranked, where players eliminate zombies before time runs out while striving to collect TMNT-themed power-ups. These power-ups (which are adequately Pizza Boxes) extend the clock, and some even freeze it. There are also perks that increase your speed. Don’t worry, there will always be more undead coming for you to test your skills and luck on in this mode.
With the new weapon skins that have come, gamers who are true TMNT fans will have the opportunity to wield the Bo, Katanas, Nunchakus, and Sai. They just don’t get to use them but can from the all-familiar Turtle skateboard. These four new characters bring a thought of nostalgia that calls back some of the older gamers. It also offers a new way to play for younger ones as ninjas emerge from the sewer in the Call of Duty TMNT event.
