Pokemon Go is all about bringing people together. Ever since Niantic, the developer, released the popular game, trainers from all over the world have left their homes and explored the world to catch ’em all. Over the past few years, the company has held scheduled events, inviting players to come together for a weekend with a chance to gather exclusive rewards and Pokemon. The company just announced its latest location, Paris, France.
Pokemon Go Fest Heading To Paris, France
According to the official website, the Pokemon Go Fest will occur at the Parc de Sceaux from June 13 to 15. Early-bird tickets are now on sale for those eager to reserve their spot. They will jump to full price on April 2. There are many reasons why trainers will want to try and make their way to Paris, France for this event.
It will be the debut of Volcanion, with players getting access to special research and a chance to encounter one in the wild. Five Star Raids will feature new forms of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, but the main event is a curated route where fans can encounter exclusive Pokemon mascots and trainers while shopping for exclusive merchandise. Pokemon Go Live Events Marketing Manager Lena Cillis talked about how this route was a big reason why Paris was chosen.
“The charm of Paris, its walkability, and its globally recognized landmarks create the perfect playground for Pokémon GO Fest. We’re eager to see Trainers explore this beautiful city and the elegant Parc de Sceaux alongside France’s passionate community and visitors from around the world.”
The event allows players from all over the world to come together. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and have some fun while earning exclusive rewards and possibly catching some rare Pokemon.
I Can’t Make It To Paris!
This isn’t the only festival Niantic will run over the summer. Osaka, Japan, will host a similar festival from May 29 to June 1. This isn’t the first time an event has been held at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, with previous festivals having been held at this location in the past. For those in the United States, Jersey City, New Jersey, will host a festival from June 6 through June 8. The backdrop of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty promises to deliver plenty of sightseeing.
For those who cannot travel, fret not! Pokemon Go will be hosting a global event on June 28 and 29. This event takes place all over the world, no matter where you live, and promises exclusive rewards and encounters with elusive Pokemon. Even if you cannot travel, there is still an opportunity to get in on the action this summer.
