Arthur Morgan Agrees That Red Dead Redemption 2 Needs A 60 FPS Update
Red Dead Redemption 2 may as well carry this generation’s soul along its back, what with its insane storytelling (damm rat!), graphics that will make you wonder why your outside isn’t half as pretty, and last but not least, Arthur Morgan, who needs no further introduction. This was and still is one of the best games to have ever graced the halls we dreamers only hope to reach. As long as we politely sweep away the remnants of its online gameplay, of course. In this wild west dreamland filled with hope and death and bang bang shootee tooties, what else could we as a people want? What about getting rid of the (nice words only, mama said-) lag?
Bring us to the modern age!

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released back in 2018. It’s not horribly long ago, we don’t need to break out the lawn chairs and martini glasses or anything, but in 3 years our sweet baby will hit its first decade- and it hasn’t even lost its baby teeth. The updates for the game have been minimal, while Rockstar does… whatever they do when not making us cry over horses. Players have been asking that they give us sixty frames per second. If they could release a patch like that for Red Dead Redemption 2, it would change the game for a lot of players, especially keeping in mind the demand on hardware this game yearns for. Optimization is key.
Even Arthur Morgan himself understands
The latest update came with some minor stuff for Red Dead Online and some bug fixes, which is all well and good, but it has not touched the real heart of the problem players have been having, and no, not the one where we can’t leave Ratface in chapter 2 to suffer his fate. They have not addressed the lag or the fact that their game is falling behind. Red Dead Redemption 2 voice actor Roger Clark, who played as Arthur Morgan himself, even played into the frustration with a joke. In this tweet here, he assures fans they are working on it. It’s nice to see that humor on display.
As one of the best creations
It’s not that much of a stretch to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of, if not the best, game Rockstar has made. It has some of the most solid foundations within a game that appeals to so many different types of players, even if those nails are not lined up correctly. John, I am looking at you. And the pure lack of attention, of adding varnish to ensure those bones will stand the test of time, is purely baffling. It’s such a beloved series in general, and while I understand that GTA 6 is a huge undertaking, it’s still a shame to see. Maybe one day, Arthur won’t glitch into a tree while horseback riding. Noob.
