Champion Selection: Exploration vs Range
Ban phase removes Ahri, Vi, Sejuani, Varus, Jayce, and Yone from the field.
SR opens up by picking Taliyah. 100T take Naafiri and Gwen. SR grab Pantheon and Rumble. 100T finish off this phase with a Viktor pick.
During second ban phase, the bot lane is severely limited with Lucian, Kalista, Alistar, and Braum take away.
100T grab Jhin as champion selection begins again. SR takes Ezreal and Nautilus. 100T finish it all off with Leona. SR has go for roaming and map mobility, whereas 100T opts for strong divers with excellent follow up.
Team comps are: SR – Rumble (top), Pantheon (jungle), Taliyah (mid), Ezreal (bot), Nautilus (support) vs 100T – Gwen (top), Naafiri (jungle), Quid (mid), FBI (bot), Eyla (support).
Early Game Highlights: Aggression Unrewarded
Game starts with some minor poking. Otherwise, nothing special happens. Contractz tries to steal red Raptors, but River secures them with Smite.
River starts up the first Drake (Mountain). He takes it without interference. Contractz uses his Ultimate to try and gank Quid, but he manages to get away and deal a massive amount of damage back.
Owing to Contractz taking so much damage in the failed gank, River is able to take the Voidgrubs uncontested.
Early game ends due to time. Gold is even but 100T have the farm lead.
Mid Game Highlights: 100T Strike First

Game continues to slow trudge on without incident.
Contractz uses his Ultimate to gank bot lane and kills Quid for First Blood. River, who was hanging around in the lane retaliates by taking out Palafox. Contractz manages to, but he dies to Contractz afterward. FBI tries to help with Curtain Call but Ceosstops him with a hook. Both teams disengage. 2-1 for 100T.
Eyla gets caught out in bot river. Dies to Contractz. Both teams dance around each other. FBI Flashes forward and dies to Bvoy. River dives in and takes out Contractz and Ceos before dying to Palafox. Bvoy chases after Quid but ends up getting slowed by a respawned Eyla. He dies to Quid. 3-2 to 100T.
River starts up the second Drake (Cloud). Has the rest of his team hover around the Dragon Pit, Palafox pushes mid lane then roams down towards the Pit. Unfortunately for him, Quid and Eyla were waiting for him in the lower mid bush.
They jump him and effectively give the kill over to FBI. Because FBI used his Ultimate to get the kill, he was stuck in place long enough for Contractz to use his Ultimate to jump on him and kill him.
River has to disengage from the Drake and SR end up securing the objective. Fight goes 1-1. Meanwhile Sniper takes the outer top turret for First Turret of the game.
100T take Rift Herald uncontested.
3-man gank bot lane by SR. Contractz kills Eyla.
River dives Bvoy under turret. Thanks to some supportive fire from FBI, River manages to kill Bvoy. He manages to get away through blue side bot jungle.
Mid game ends due to time. 100T now was the gold lead (1.1k), as well as the farm lead.
Late Game Highlights: Contractz Styling but SR Fall Short
100T take the third Drake (Infernal) most uncontested and then start the Thornbound Atakhan.
SR move to try and contest. Eyla jumps onto Palafox but doesn’t have any backup, so Palafox manages to get away. River dives in but gets killed by Bvoy. He does manage to land a hit on Palafox before he dies, though, and that hit bleeds Palafox to death. Both teams disengage. Fight goes 1-1.
100T start up Atakhan again. SR dance around. Ceos uses his Depth Charge to try and go in on Quid but he put enough space between them that it Ceos can’t get to him. River peels off Atakhan to jump onto Ceos and kill him.
100T chase SR away with Quid managing to kill Contractz. Eyla tries to get ahead of SR but ends up getting jumped on and killed by Fudge. Despite the fight going 2-1 for 100T, their health bars are too low for them to take Atakhan so they have to retreat.
Both teams start to set up around the fourth Drake. Lots of poking. Ceos gets very low. SR decide to back off and 100T take the objective. They are now on Soul Point.
River starts up the Atakhan for the third time. Ceos misses his hook and pulls himself into a wall. Doesn’t die but gets punished. Contractz enters and pushes River off the Atakhan before stealing it with Smite. Both teams disengage. No kills.
Both teams are mid lane as they set up for Baron. Sniper tries to chase down Fudge but goes too deep and dies to Bvoy. However, Ceos dies to Quid’s Chaos Storm because of all the damage he took trying to save Fudge. Both teams disengage.
Eyla gets caught out and has to Flash. While 100T is distracted by this, SR quickly takes the fifth Drake. They then look for a fight with Contractz jumping on to a retreating Sniper.
The fight does not go in their favor, however, as FBI uses Curtain Call to take out Contractz and Ceos gets caught out and snipped by Sniper. Fudge is able to retaliate and kill River with his Equalizer before escaping. Fight goes 2-1 for 100T.
100T starts up Baron. SR starts to close in. As Baron gets lower, 100T slows down the damage. This gives Contractz the opportunity to come in and steal it. He dies to River for his efforts. Ceos gets taken out by Quid as well.
100T chase after the rest of SR, with River and Sniper working together to kill Fudge (Sniper gets credit). Palafox and Bvoy manage to get away, retaining Baron Buff. Fight goes 3-0 for 100T.
Using Baron Buff, SR try to push up mid lane. 100T tries to flank them. The fight is disjointed. FBI manages to kill Ceos but Bvoy takes out Eyla immediately after. Fight goes 1-1 and the Baron Buff push is shut down.
100T start up the sixth Drake. SR try to contest but 100T are able to push them away. This time River manages to secure the objective. They take the Drake, gaining Infernal Soul. 100T consider retreating but change their minds.
River dives into the backline of SR. Quid manages to kill Bvoy, River rips apart Contractz, FBI snipes Fudge, and Sniper cuts down Ceos. Palafox manages to get away thanks to Weaver’s Wall. 4-0 for 100T.
100T march down bot lane. Taking turrets as they go. Palafox tries to defend his base but gets slowed and killed by FBI’s Curtain Call. With no one up to stop them, 100T breaks the Nexus.
Post Game Analysis: LTA North Teams Need to Learn Restraint
100T ends the game at 38:10 with a 5.7k gold lead. The final score is 21-12 for 100T. SR, yet again, made 1 poor decision and it ended up costing them the game. Had they simply retreated after taking the fifth Drake, they very well could have won.
Despite being ahead in gold for most of the game, 100T’s victory was no without flaws. Eyla kept getting caught out and River lost 2 Smite exchanges. There were several points where SR could have capitalized on their advantages, had they not been so behind. And they wouldn’t have been as behind, had they not lost that fight after the fifth Drake. Over-aggression lost SR the game.
