Hogwarts Legacy reportedly cancels DLC, sequel still in the works

Tier List Of Hogwarts Legacy Professors

In the Magical halls of Hogwarts Legacy, professors are more than just teachers. Students learn from a diverse cast of professors, each bringing their unique style and personality to the classroom. They shape your journey, teach powerful spells, and bring the castle to life. But which ones truly stand out? Based on personality, impact, quest involvement, and fan opinion.

S-Tier – The Best Professors in Hogwarts Legacy

Professor Weasley

  • Professor Eleazar Fig
  • Professor Matilda Weasley

Professor Fig is regarded as one of the most integral characters in Hogwarts Legacy, serving not only as a professor but as the main companion throughout the player’s journey. His willingness to treat the protagonist as an equal and his disregard for the rules set by Headmaster Black make him instantly relatable.Unlike many authority figures in games, Fig trusts you, helps you, and risks a lot to uncover the hidden truth.

Deputy Headmistress Weasley is level-headed and supportive and plays a huge role in the resistance against the dark arts. While not overly emotional or dramatic, her calm leadership keeps Hogwarts grounded. She also gives you the Room of Requirement, which is extremely helpful.

A-Tier – Great and Memorable Professors

Professor Aesop Sharp

  • Professor Abraham Ronen
  • Professor Aesop Sharp
  • Professor Mirabel Garlick

Ronen is like that one teacher in school who made class fun. He’s full of energy, loves games, and seems to enjoy teaching. He’s not involved in the main story, but his lessons are enjoyable, and he makes Charms feel like a class you’d look forward to.

Sharp is your classic grumpy ex-Auror (a Dark wizard catcher) turned strict professor. He’s tough but fair, and you can tell there’s a lot of history behind that serious face. He teaches some of the most useful potions in the game, and his assignments feel meaningful. He’s like the Snape of Hogwarts Legacy – minus the emotional trauma stuff.

Garlick is hands down one of the most loved professors by the fanbase. She’s warm, positive, and passionate about her subject. Her herbology classes teach you about magical plants. Plus, she has that gentle, hippie vibes that just makes her feel like a sunflower in human form.

B-Tier – Solid But Less Impactful

Madam Chiyo Kogawa

  • Professor Hecat
  • Madam Chiyo Kogawa

Hecat teaches some of the most important spells, but outside of class, she kind of disappears into the background. She’s clearly experienced and respected, but she doesn’t get much character development. Still, she’s essential for combat.

Madam Kogawa helps you get your broom and teaches you how to fly, which is amazing, by the way. But once the flying races are done, you don’t see much of her. She’s not bad at all—just doesn’t have much impact on the overall main story.

C-Tier – Least Memorable Professors

Professor Satyavati Shah

  • Professor Satyavati Shah
  • Professor Bai Howin

Shah is passionate about science and the stars (astronomy), but she comes off as a bit snobby. Her classes aren’t very exciting, and she doesn’t leave much of an impression.

Bai Howin teaches you how to care for magical beasts, which is useful, but her personality is pretty lifeless or emotionless. Most of your beast interactions happen in the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement, not with her.

D-Tier: Dreadful Instructors

Professor Phineas Nigellus Black

  • Professor Cuthbert Binns
  • Professor Phineas Nigellus Black (Headmaster)

Binns is literally a ghost and somehow still manages to be the most boring professor of all time at Hogwarts. His droning lectures are like a bedtime story for putting students to sleep and might even put himself to sleep.

Black is smug, lazy, and completely uninterested in your well-being. He’s meant to be disliked, and he plays the role well. While funny at times, he doesn’t do anything to earn your respect, which is important in my opinion.

Professor Fig and Professor Weasley stand over the S-tier with their emotional depth and pivotal roles. Meanwhile, D-tier professors like Cuthbert Binns and Phineas Nigellus Black leave little to be desired.
