Ranking the 10 Best Nintendo Series from Greatest to Least Great – Part 2

Hello, we’re back, and we’re continuing our list of the Top 10 Best Nintendo Series. Nintendo has so many iconic series that it would be an injustice to only look at five of them. We’ve seen the Top 5, so now it’s time to look at the second half. Here are the Top 10 Nintendo Series, #6-10.

The Top 10 Nintendo Series – Part 2

In case you missed the first part, it can be found here.

6. Super Smash Bros

The classic series where beloved video game characters beat each other up has become a giant. People compete in Smash Bros tournaments all over the world. Beyond that, Smash Bros is accessible to everyone and so much fun to play. Every entry brings new characters, new creative stages, and new features. It’s hard to imagine how the series will top the fantastic Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but given the series’ track record, the Switch 2 entry should be amazing.

7. Metroid

Yes, Nintendo has a darker side. Sometimes you might want to leap on platforms through the colorful Mushroom Kingdom, but other times you might want to creep through claustrophobic corridors while being pursued by aliens. Metroid games always feature a rich, moody atmosphere that heightens the tension. Samus Aran was one of the first female video game protagonists, and to this day, she remains one of the most iconic. There’s a reason why Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is one of the most anticipated games of the year.

8. Luigi’s Mansion

Making Luigi into a Ghostbuster was pure genius. Fans wanted Mario’s often-overlooked brother to get his own game for a long time, and Luigi’s Mansion on the GameCube delivered a spooky, addictive ghost-catching adventure. Now, the series is a trilogy, plus it has an arcade spin-off. This series helped to establish Luigi’s personality. While he isn’t as brave as Mario, he doesn’t let fear deter him from doing the right thing. Here’s hoping the Switch 2 gets a fourth Luigi’s Mansion game.

9. Paper Mario

The charming paper aesthetic makes this RPG series unique. Mario showed in Super Mario RPG that he can flow seamlessly into RPG gameplay, and the Paper Mario series cemented that idea. Each entry in the series features charming gameplay, beautiful visuals, and memorable characters. Paper Mario games also tell stories full of humor and heart, creating their own worlds within the larger Super Mario universe. Who would have thought turning Mario into paper would work so well?

10. Kirby

The pink puffball Kirby may look cute and cuddly, but he is a force to be reckoned with. He can swallow enemies and steal their powers for himself, which is oh-so-satisfying. Kirby games are super charming and easy to pick up and play. While most of them don’t offer a tough challenge, sometimes it’s nice to just breeze through a game without your blood pressure going up. Kirby remains one of Nintendo’s most iconic characters, and he’s sure to do a lot more enemy-swallowing for years to come.

Conclusion

Obviously, there are more than ten awesome Nintendo series, but not all of them could fit into this list. However, nearly all of their game series are winners, so no matter what you decide to check out, you’re almost guaranteed to have a good time. The video game world wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t for Nintendo.
