Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles

The Long Awaited Updated Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles is Almost Here!

Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles is the much-desired re-release of the 1997 PlayStation game, Final Fantasy Tactics. It tells the story of Ramza the noble, and Delita the commoner, along with others, in a classic tactics game full of the things you love about Final Fantasy. But this time, it’s coming to more platforms and with new features and updates, similar to how Square Enix has done for other classic games.

A Return to Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles

The king has died, and a 2-year-old boy ascends to the throne. Two men, Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion, each seek the powerful position of regent. They clash in a war that later is called the War of the Lions. At the same time, two young companions, Ramza and Delita, a noble and a commoner respectively, must find their way through this chaotic time. The cast of characters also includes Alma, the sister of Ramza and Princess Ovelia.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Final Fantasy Tactics without the familiar tactical turn-based battles.

If you were lucky enough to play the original game, the battles in Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles will look familiar to you. You control Ramza and the other characters in strategic battles throughout the game. It’s addictive, and you’ll want to keep playing for just a little longer until time has passed quickly without notice. Different tactics will be needed to win all of the fights. Don’t let the simplistic look fool you. This isn’t a cake walk.

Job System

The job system is flexible and engaging. There are over 20 jobs to test out and, as characters take on these roles, they learn new abilities that carry over even when they change jobs. So, you can choose which skills they will use, giving you many possible combinations to work with. All of the classic jobs you’d expect are present, including the black mage, dragoon, summoner, thief, and more. You can even tame chocobos and lead them into battle with you!

What’s New in Ivalice

Square Enix has introduced several significant enhancements for the enhanced release of Final Fantasy The Ivalice Chronicles.

1. New Interface: They overhauled the UI so that it’s easier to play, more approachable, with it being easier to control units, and even more.

2. The Graphics: The visuals have been updated for HD displays with beautiful 3D battlegrounds and pixel art.

3. Voice Acting!: The enhanced version includes full voice acting in both English and Japanese.

4. Tactical View: A view so you can more easily see what’s happening in battle.

5. Battle Speed: You can control the speed of the battle to speed through the easy ones.

6. Levels of Difficulty: Adjust the difficulty of the battles up or down. Play your way! It’s a game. Have fun.

Classic Bonus!

Sure, an updated, enhanced version of Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles is great, but what about the original that we remember so fondly? Not to worry, Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles includes the classic version too! You get both versions of the game when you add it to your game collection. It’s just like the original, but with tiny updates like autosave.
