Mario Kart World Stickers: How to Unlock and Use Those Cute Icons

If you’ve played Mario Kart World, you’ve probably noticed these cute Mario Kart World stickers popping up. You can collect a lot of different stickers throughout the game, and there are many ways to unlock them. Here is a guide on how to unlock and use the Mario Kart World stickers.

Step 1: Start the Game

Yes, getting your first set of stickers is as easy as booting up the game for the first time. 39 stickers are automatically unlocked the first time you start the game. Of course, most of them are boring number stickers, so you might want to unlock more stickers as soon as possible.

Step 2: Drive

Yes, you get awarded stickers just for driving. The game keeps track of how many in-game kilometers you drive, and racing, battles, and Free Roam mode all contribute to your total. Certain driving milestones, like 10 km, 20 km, 100 km, and so on, earn you stickers.

Step 3: Glide

There are several spots throughout the game where you can glide on rails. Like with driving, you get awarded stickers for gliding certain numbers of in-game kilometers.

Step 4: Race

You get Mario Kart World stickers as you complete a certain number of races.

Step 5: Collect Coins

Coins have three uses in Mario Kart World. They increase your speed, they let you unlock new vehicles, and they award you stickers. So don’t skimp on those question mark blocks and Coin Shells.

Step 6: Perform Tricks

You can perform tricks with a well-timed press of the R button when at the top of a ledge or peak. Tricks are really satisfying to perform successfully, and performing a certain number of them will earn you Mario Kart World stickers.

Step 7: Race on the Special Cup

The Special Cup, which includes the iconic Rainbow Road track, unlocks after you complete all the other Grand Prix races. Complete the Special Cup to get a whole bunch of stickers.

Step 8: Complete P-Switch Missions

Throughout Free Roam Mode, you’ll notice P-Switches scattered around. Drive over one to begin a short challenge that might involve collecting blue coins, racing through difficult areas before the timer runs out, or other such feats. Complete the challenge in time and you’ll be awarded a sticker.

Step 9: Activate Question Mark Blocks

Also in Free Roam, you’ll occasionally see question mark blocks on the ground. Drive over them to activate them and earn stickers.

Step 10: Collect Peach Medallions

Peach Medallions tend to be hidden in out-of-the-way, difficult-to-reach areas. If you manage to collect one, you’ll get a sticker, but you might be wishing for a more substantial reward after the effort you put into obtaining it.

Step 11: Catch Nabbit

Occasionally, you’ll spot Nabbit hanging around during Free Roam. If he spots you, he’ll go running, and you get to chase him down. Catch him for a sticker reward.

So What Do These Mario Kart World Stickers Do, Anyway?

They can be used to decorate your vehicle. Unfortunately, you can only activate one sticker at a time. To use a sticker, select the “Stickers” icon from the main menu and select the sticker you want to use. Stickers have no effect on how your vehicle handles, so feel free to pick your favorite one and swap them around any time you like. There are a grand total of 1056 Mario Kart World stickers to collect. Happy hunting!
