Overwatch 2 Season 18 Quickplay Brings Exciting Updates
The Xbox@gamescom stream showcased the trailer for the next season of Overwatch 2. Season 18: Stadium Quickplay has plenty of new additions coming to the Blizzard Entertainment First Person Shooter. Three new heroes in Winston, Pharah, and Brigitte are coming to Stadium on season release, while Tracer’s addition will come in the midseason. We even got a tease of the new features and game mode in Stadium for Season 18.
Overwatch 2 Stadium Heroes
Winston, Pharah, and Brigitte are coming to Stadium in Season 18 of Overwatch 2. Each hero had a showcase of some of their powers or items that players can get for them in the game mode. Winston can bubble himself or cause his bubble to electrocute enemies. Pharah has tracking Rockets and moving barrage, while Brigitte can swing her flail around her and toss her shield. Tracer’s additions do not seem clear during the trailer.
Stadium Additions
A new Stadium game mode is on the horizon with Payload Race. Teams must race each other to get their payload over the finish line first. The first map is set in a similar location to Route 66. A new D.Va stadium skin is coming for players to rank up and earn in Season 18. There is a Stadium Draft mode that seems to function similarly to a League of Legends Draft system:
- Team 1 picks a Tank
- Team 2 picks a Tank and DPS
- Team 1 picks 2 DPS
- Team 2 picks a Tank and Support
- Team 1 picks 2 Supports
- Team 2 picks the final Support
The order of roles might be random, but this is going off what was shown in the trailer. As the season name suggests, the Quickplay Stadium game mode is also coming in Season 18.
Wuyang

Wuyang featured in the Season trailer, and he had his Hero Trailer released shortly after. The trailer is called Elemental Kin, and it shows Wuyang and his sister, Anran, summoned by Overwatch. That might be an indication that Anran will arrive later in Overwatch 2, with her powers focused on controlling fire.
Perks
Every hero is getting at least one new perk in Overwatch 2, and during the trailer and Gamescom, Blizzard showed off some perks coming to Juno, Mei, and Illari in the new season. Juno gets a rapid-fire Mediblaster while Glide Boost is active, and Mei can launch herself into the air with a double jump that creates an ice pillar.
