Shocker Or Old News: The Internet in Grand Theft Auto 6 is Already Brilliantly Bizarre
Grand Theft Auto‘s publisher, Take-Two, has registered several websites recently discovered by a well-known dataminer. These findings suggest that early online activity is underway for the highly anticipated GTA 6, which is currently scheduled for release on May 26, 2026. With the domain names themselves seeming ridiculous enough to fit a classic Rockstar game, could these bizarre URLs be our first real look at the game’s online world?

Grand Theft Auto‘s Gonzo Web Addresses Leak
The dataminer Tez explained his discovery on the GTA forums, stating that he came across some domains that seem to be related to GTA 6. According to Tez, these domains were all on May 27 under Take-Two’s nameservers. Tez further suggested Rockstar may later redirect these in-game sites to the official GTA 6 page, similar to the marketing strategies used for GTA 4 and 5. Alternatively, he also noted that some might be completely unrelated. Overall, the list of websites includes:
- what-up.app
- rydeme.app
- buckme.app
- leonidagov.org
- brianandbradley.com
- hookers-galore.com
- wipeoutcornskin.com
- myboyhasacreepycorndog.com

For keen fans, these sites are obvious parodies of those found in real life. For instance, What-Up is clearly a riff on the messaging service WhatsApp, while rydeme likely combines Uber and Lyft. The site, BuckMe, could potentially be a parody of Patreon or OnlyFans. That said, what other modern services do you think Rockstar is planning to satirize in its next game?
Online Oddities Officially Owned by Publisher
Longtime fans will remember that the ability to access an in-game internet was a major feature first introduced in GTA 4. In the game, players could visit internet cafes to access emails, a classified ads site for finding a girlfriend, and even a fake website with illegal material that instantly earned them a high wanted level. When GTA 5 was released, players noticed that every main character was given a smartphone. With this feature, the internet is always just a few clicks away for access.
Smartphones have become an essential part of the GTA Online experience, as they’re used as the primary method for players to buy businesses. Although GTA 6 will likely provide players with another smartphone for use, fans will have to wait until the game is released to see. Following the initial discovery, however, Take-Two Interactive swiftly moved to conceal these domains. Subsequently, the company transferred them to new nameservers that have no visible links to its corporate infrastructure, hiding their ownership from fans. Given this reaction to the leaks, the dataminer’s original findings may be true, as to why else would they disappear?
