Dplus KIA managed to enact revenge on FearX with a 3-1 series victory. That win earned them another rematch in the LCK Playoffs, this time with T1. T1 defeated DK in a nail-biter 5-game series, which saw a crucial mistake from Aiming give T1 a significant advantage that closed out the game. DK has completed part 1 of their revenge, but must now take down T1 and prevent them from having a chance at defending their World Championship title.

T1 Versus Dplus KIA Recent Match History and Head-To-Head
The recent meeting between T1 and DK ended in a 3-2 victory for the defending World Champions. Keria’s hook on an over-aggressive Aiming blew open the game and allowed T1 to take the series in Round 1 of the LCK Playoffs.
T1’s last series ended in disappointment; they lost 3-0 to a significantly improved Hanwha Life. DK, on the other hand, is coming off one of their most dominant victories in recent times, beating fellow Rise Group representatives, FearX.
Have T1 Fixed Their Draft Mistakes?
One of the issues for T1 in their losses during the playoffs, including against DK, was their draft. T1 seemed to have horrible drafts, something that this roster has had trouble with in the past. T1 has had a couple of days to prepare for the series, and they got to see what DK ran against BFX. If they have figured out better drafts against DK, they might run away with a dominant LCK series victory.
Keria, As the X Factor
In the build-up to the last meeting between these two teams, we noted that DK would need to shut down Keria to emerge victorious. They managed to do so on some occasions, but Keria carried T1 to the victory in game five. It was his hook on Aiming that started the dominance for T1, and it was his blind hook on Lucid that sealed the deal. Once again, it will be about DK finding ways to keep Keria quiet if they want to succeed and enact revenge.

Predicting the outcome of this series feels impossible. T1 has looked shaky in their recent series, but knowing this roster, they can easily turn it around to dominate DK. On the other hand, the last time T1 was in this position, they almost faltered, only beating KT 3-2 to qualify as the fourth seed for the World Championship last year. T1 remains the favorite to be victorious despite their woes, but a win for DK is not as unexpected as it was in the Round 1 meeting.
World Championship Qualification
The winner of the series earns the final ticket to the World Championship. They will become the fourth LCK team to qualify. However, that will only give them a spot in the Play-In. Their next series will be against GenG, with a win there allowing them to advance straight to the Swiss Stage at Worlds.
