Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage Day Two: The LPL Downfall Was Overblown

After Invictus Gaming lost to T1 and Bilibili Gaming fell to 100 Thieves, LPL fans feared the worst. On day two of the Worlds Swiss Stage, the LPL went 3-0, with one of those wins coming from Anyone’s Legend against the MSI champions, GenG Esports. T1 would also fall to CTBC Flying Oyster, leaving KT Rolster as the only LCK team with a 2-0 scoreline. 100 Thieves heist has taken a short break.

Worlds 2025: FlyQuest Versus Vivo Keyd Stars

FLY and VKS played in a rematch of the LTA Championship finals. The match was similar to their previous meetings, with FLY dominating throughout. FLY showed much-needed improvement after their disastrous performance against T1. Notably, Busio returned to his LTA finals form to help FLY over the line.

Worlds 2025: KT Rolster Versus Team Secret Whales

KT has benefited from the Swiss Stage draw, getting a match against the LCP second seed. KT did not look comfortable in this game as TSW consistently found ways to catch the LCK third seed off guard. In the end, Bdd remained clutch to give KT a lead that they eventually built on to win the game.

The draw gave another summer finals rematch, this time in the form of G2 against KOI. G2 improved from their day-one performance, inducing a chokehold on KOI. One of the main factors behind the G2 control was Labrov on Bard. He was always at the center of G2’s playmaking throughout the game.

Worlds 2025: Top Esports Versus 100 Thieves

The Cinderella heist for 100 T came to a screeching halt against TES. The LPL team dismantled 100T at every turn. 100T tried and nearly succeeded in finding ways back into the game, but the gold lead was too much to overcome. JackeyLove had a couple of Jackey moments as he was caught out for no reason. TES now has the fastest win of Worlds so far.

Worlds 2025: CTBC Flying Oyster Versus T1

The first four games of the day went as planned, but CFO would not allow that to continue. They took the fight to T1, catching the defending World Champions out on several occasions. T1 did have a slip-up performance in their coordination, with Oner having one of the worst games of 2025. CFO upset T1, moving to 2-0 with a dominant team performance.

Worlds 2025: GenG Versus Anyone’s Legend

The last two times these teams met were during MSI and EWC. On both occasions, GenG won 3-2. The game promised to be a close affair. Kiin’s K’Sante helped GenG to an advantage, but AL’s teamfighting, led by Kael, got them over the line. The LPL’s second seed has taken down HLE and GenG to move within one series victory of the Bracket Stage.

Worlds 2025: Bilibili Gaming Versus Fnatic

BLG got drawn against another Western third seed after losing to 100T. FNC drafted a dominant bot lane with Caitlyn and Morgana, but forgot the first rule. Be careful of early ganks from the enemy jungler. On two separate occasions, Shad0w went bot and collected kills, allowing Elk to stay even. FNC never recovered and fell to 0-2.

Worlds 2025: Hanwha Life Esports Versus PSG Talon

PSG has been unlucky in the draw, getting GenG, followed by HLE. They managed to find some angles in the early game, similar to yesterday. The coordination for HLE seemed off, but they slowly gathered themselves. The dive from the LCK second seed proved too much for PSG to deal with.
