Worlds 2025: T1 Versus TES – Faker Surpasses Himself in Worlds Records

T1 has done it again. They have now qualified for their fourth consecutive Worlds Finals after defeating Top Esports 3-0. The series was not close. TES struggled to find any avenues in the games. The series lasted 90 minutes, including pauses, which was the fifth fastest series at Worlds. T1 has now set up a Telecom War Grand Final against KT Rolster for a chance to lift a third straight Summoner’s Cup.

Worlds 2025: T1 Versus Top Esports

Summary

Game one was slow. There was only one kill in the first twenty-four minutes. The deciding fight came on the Atakhan. Doran took Kanavi’s Wukong into the Death Realm, placing him on low enough health for T1 to prevail. T1 secured Atakhan and Baron at the same time, giving them a substantial lead to win the game. 

Game two saw T1 pick a dive composition with Gumayusi’s Kai’Sa and Doran’s Camille. TES managed to keep it even until the team fights. JackeyLove had nowhere to go as the T1 Avengers descended on him. He was the priority for T1 in every fight, which enabled the LCK fourth seed to win.

Kanavi garnered an early advantage on Qiyana, storming to a three-kill lead. However, he consistently got the kills instead of Creme and JackeyLove, meaning he was the only threat. T1 knew this and targeted him in every team fight. T1 dominated to earn a 3-0 series sweep.

Four Consecutive Worlds Finals

T1 has done the impossible. They have advanced to another Worlds Final. The core of Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, and Keria has been there for all four. The run began in 2022. In that final, they lost to Deft and DRX in a shock defeat. In 2025, they face KT Rolster in a Telecom War where KT has a similar Cinderella story. Will it be a repeat of the 2022 World Finals, or can T1 become the first team to win three consecutive World Championships?
