Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, and Silent Hill Return in 2026
After the release of Silent Hill f, Horror has been making headlines with all the new releases and announcements that have dropped over the past month. Now this is completely within my realm of expertise, and my excitement is through the roof. For the first time since 2012, we get back-to-back games of Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Fatal Frame within a 6-month time frame. That’s over 10 years of waiting for these incredible franchises to release new games and content, and I know I’m not the only one chomping at the bit waiting for Resident Evil and Fatal Frame to drop next year.
We Get Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Fatal Frame Releases Back to Back
This year, we were blessed with the treasure that is Silent Hill f and in just 5-6 months, we will get the new Resident Evil Requiem and Fatal Frame 2 Remake back to back. This is the first time we get all these game releases from Japan’s horror trio, so close together in over 10 years, since Resident Evil 6, Silent Hill: Downpour, and the Wii-exclusive Fatal Frame 2 remake launched. Capcom has certainly been dishing out a lot of announcements and exclusive details on Requiem, and Koei has also dropped some exclusive details on the Fatal Frame Remake during this year’s State of Play.
State of Play Announces Release Date for Fatal Frame 2 Remake
During this year’s State of Play, Koei dropped the release date announcement for their new Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterflies Remake, which is set to drop on March 12 of next year. That is literally 2 weeks from Resident Evil Requiem’s release date, which is set to launch February 27 of next year as well.
I don’t know about anyone else; however, I do know a good bunch of people, including myself, are definitely saving up to grab both games. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough of Silent Hill f, and I expect good things from these next two games. Don’t miss out on more news on these games until they drop.
