Red Dead Redemption Rated for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S
Red Dead Redemption is the second game in the Red Dead series and a successor to Red Dead Revolver. It is a western-themed action/adventure game developed by Rockstar Studios. It features the outlaw main character John Marston. Players complete third-person missions through a fictional Western United States. It has received a new ESRB rating for current-gen consoles, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It has been rated M for Mature which means 17+. This is due to violence, gore, and sexually explicit themes. There’s been a lot of buzz for the Red Dead Redemption 2 game currently, as this is the fourth best-selling game of all time. Now there is speculation about an update for RDR2.
The Future of Red Dead?

There is also speculation about a current gen update for Red Dead Redemption 2. This will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, and will have better visuals and running performance. There may also be a Red Dead remaster on the way. It is unknown whether a sequel is in the works or not. Red Dead Redemption is available on the Playstation store for PS4, but is also playable on PS5 with some limitations. The release of a Red Dead Redemption 3 remains speculative, but it may happen sometime around 2030.
Zombie Game Play?
The ESRB website cites zombies as one of the main enemies in this game, so there may be a new expansion of Undead Nightmare in the future. This expansion is set in an alternate timeline from Red Dead Redemption’s base story. It offers a horror-themed campaign and is available in both single and multi-player settings. The story follows Marston as he kills zombies and looks for a cure for his infected wife and son.
