Don’t have a cow, man! We’ve done the grunt work for the gag locations you. Here’s your no-nonsense guide to finding every single one of these hilarious, XP-granting Easter eggs. Which gag location will be the first one you tackle?
Where are the Gag Locations?
1. Sit on the Simpsons’ Couch
Let’s start with the easiest of gag locations, shall we? You need to find the iconic Simpsons’ home at 742 Evergreen Terrace. It’s the peachy-pink house in the middle of the POI with the brown roof—you literally can’t miss it unless you’re too busy cranking 90s. Stroll in through the front door, hang a left into the living room, and plant your avatar on that famous brown couch. Boom. 5,000 XP for achieving peak couch potato status.
2. Find Mr. Sparkle
Remember Mr. Sparkle, Homer’s Japanese detergent doppelgänger? Well, he’s buried treasure now. For next one of the gag locations, head south of Evergreen Terrace to the for this Springfield Tire Yard, which is, you guessed it, a giant, perpetually burning pile of tires. Classy. In the northeast corner of the yard, you’ll see a mound of dirt. Interact with it to dig up a box of Mr. Sparkle. Interact with the box, and you’ll get a clean 5,000 XP. There’s a joke in there somewhere about cleaning up your act, but we’ll spare you.
3. Gather a Steamed Ham
Oh, ye gods! My roast is ruined! But what if I were to purchase fast food and disguise it as my own cooking? You can live out this classic Skinner moment by finding a plate of “Steamed Hams” (they’re obviously just Krusty Burgers). These platters spawn randomly on kitchen tables inside the houses at Evergreen Terrace. We found ours in a house in the southeast corner, but your luck may vary. Just search the neighborhood kitchens until you spot one. Pick it up or eat it on the spot for a delicious 5,000 XP.
4. Knock the Jebediah Springfield Statue’s Head Off
A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man, but a few well-placed shots can bring down a statue. Go to the center of Springfield Town Square and you’ll find a big ol’ statue of the town founder, Jebediah Springfield. Do what Bart did and shoot the statue’s head until it pops off. Not only will you get 5,000 XP, but the head becomes a Mythic item: Jebediah’s Protective Helm. It protects you from headshots but also marks you on the map for all to see. High risk, high reward.
5. Step on a Rake
It’s time to channel your inner Sideshow Bob. Surrounding the base of the Jebediah Springfield statue are several rakes lying innocently in the grass. Do the logical thing and step directly on the metal end. You’ll be greeted with a satisfying thwack to the face and 5,000 XP. If it doesn’t trigger, some players have found success by doing it while wearing Jebediah’s Protective Helm. It’s almost poetic.
6. Prank Call Moe
Is I.P. Freely there? Now you can be the one to torment Springfield’s favorite bartender. You can complete this gag in two locations. The most obvious is inside Moe’s Tavern in Springfield Town Square. Just walk in and interact with the ringing phone on the bar. Alternatively, you can find another ringing phone on an outside wall of a purple building at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Either way, you get 5,000 XP for your troubles. Moe-sy on down.
7. Spray Springfield
El Barto was here! It’s time to leave your mark. You have two spots to choose from for this act of digital vandalism. The first is on a wall at the top of the long staircase leading to Mr. Burns’ Manor. The second is on the right side wall of the Kwik-E-Mart in the Town Square. Look for a glittering spot and a spray can icon. Interact with it to tag the wall with Bart’s signature graffiti and bag an easy 5,000 XP.
8. Release the Hounds
Feeling a little evil? Head to the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and make your way to Mr. Burns’ office. It’s on the fourth floor of the big glass building at the front. Once inside, you’ll see a desk with a big, tempting red button. You know what to do. Press it to “release the hounds,” which hilariously spawns two friendly Doberman bodyguards to protect you. Excellent. You also get 5,000 XP for your diabolical deed.
9. Dislodge the Lard Lad Donut
Over in the Donut District stands the massive Lard Lad statue, proudly holding up his giant donut. That donut looks way too good to just stay up there. Give the statue a few good whacks with your pickaxe or shoot it until the massive pastry tumbles to the ground. This sweet act of destruction earns you 5,000 XP. Mmm… forbidden donut.
10. Jump the Springfield Gorge
It’s the stunt that Homer famously failed. Now it’s your turn. Grab a vehicle—any car will do—and head to the Springfield Gorge, located just east of Evergreen Terrace. All you have to do is drive straight off the cliff. You don’t even need to make it through the floating ring. Just plummet spectacularly into the chasm below. For your bravery (or foolishness), you’ll be awarded 5,000 XP. You’ll probably survive, unlike Homer’s ambulance.
11. Catch Blinky
The infamous three-eyed fish, Blinky, is swimming in the waters around Springfield Island, and it’s your job to catch one. There are eight different fishing holes scattered around the map. Grab a fishing rod from a nearby barrel, cast your line into a bubbling spot, and wait for a bite. It might take a few tries, as you could pull up a Flopper or a gun, but eventually, you’ll reel in Blinky. This radioactive catch nets you another 5,000 XP.
12. Bring the Haw Haw Humiliation
This one requires a bit of a boss fight. You need to defeat one of the three Simpsons bosses that spawn randomly on the island: Witch Marge, Evil Homer, or Krusty the Clown. They pop up in various spots, but Town Square is a common location. Once you defeat one of them, Nelson Muntz will magically appear to deliver his signature “Haw-Haw!” at your fallen foe. This ultimate humiliation completes the gag and gives you your final 5,000 XP.
