Battlefield 6 Just Released Red Bull-Themed Cosmetics After Promising Grounded Skins
Battlefield 6 has hit the ground running, having the biggest launch in the franchise’s history, and still maintaining interest over a month after officially launching. The hype for skins in the game has also reached an all-time high, with EA promising to release grounded skins and instead actually releasing Red Bull-themed skins. Here’s all you need to know about the skins.
Battlefield 6 Promised Grounded Skins
Back in August, before Battlefield 6 officially launched, EA spoke briefly about skins that would be released and become available in future updates of the game. Players have expressed their desire for more grounded skins. In an interview with DBLTAP, Battlefield 6 design director Shashank Uchil promised fans of the game that instead of goofy crossover skins, the design team would opt for skins that would look and feel more hyper-realistic.
“It has to be grounded. That is what BF3 and BF4 was — it was all soldiers, on the ground. It’s going to be like this,”
“I don’t think it needs Nicki Minaj. Let’s keep it real, keep it grounded.”
Red Bull-Themed Skins Are Available to Unlock Instead

However, after deep diving into the thought processes of the design team, Battlefield 6 has just released Red Bull-themed skins that are only available temporarily. The skin itself is not Red Bull-themed; however, the cosmetics come with a Red Bull gun charm and Red Bull-themed player cards.
As I’ve said, these cosmetics are available only temporarily, and can only be earned with some challenges only able to be completed in the free-to-play gamemodes of Battlefield 6, Gauntlet, and RedSec, and you have two weeks to complete the challenges and earn the cosmetics.
Players are definitely worried about the direction Battlefield 6 will take after releasing branded skins and cosmetics, especially after promising more grounded skins in this Battlefield game. We can only wait to see how the design team will add extra content to the game, and whether or not this is an indication of the series following in Call of Duty‘s footsteps with all these branded content updates.
