Dark Souls 2 Mod Revitalizes Co-op, Forging New Bonds in Drangleic
Dark Souls 2 is getting a seamless co-op mod courtesy of Yui, a well-known modder in the Souls community. Loyal modders have continued to support the community by building upon Dark Souls 2 and its intricate gameplay design. While not loved as much as other entries in the series, Dark Souls 2 is still a must-play for any fan of the renowned franchise, especially now that there is co-op. This newly coveted mod will breathe life into the unforgiving 2014 title in a way players never thought possible.
Dark Souls 2 Co-op Mod Addresses Several Issues

FromSoftware is notorious for its strict multiplayer conditions. Traditional Soulsborne co-op is often accompanied by a monotonous procedure, leaving players discouraged and deterred by its lengthy process. However, with that said, let’s see what this mod possibly intends to address in terms of quality-of-life changes.
• No Multiplayer timers or boundaries
• Co-op sessions persist after death, defeating bosses, teleports, or anything else that would previously end sessions
• Complete progress synchronization
• Vanilla bug fixes
Previously released mods for Soulsborne co-op have been respectfully successful. And although players will soon have two new standalone multiplayer options with Nightreign and Duskbloods, it’s refreshing to see a classic like Dark Souls 2 still receive support, even if it’s by modders.
Final Thoughts:
Dark Souls was never a series explicitly known for its multiplayer. However, it’s inspiring to see the series is still adored by fans who are willing to reconnect in these almost forgotten realms. The franchise never required seamless co-op to succeed or for us to hold them in high regard, but it certainly won’t taint our view either.
Dark Souls is an intimidating and brutally remorseless series, but it’s also one of the most rewarding video games of all time. So, if you’re a new or returning player, prepare to die and go beyond death, but this time with a companion.
