Red Dead Redemption Netflix Port Review Bombed

Red Dead Redemption Netflix Port Is Being Review-Bombed

Last month, Rockstar Games announced the release of their remaster of Red Dead Redemption on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and mobile. It was also revealed that the game’s mobile port will be playable through Netflix. Now that the remaster has officially been released, Red Dead Redemption’s new mobile port is being review-bombed, and it does not look good. Here’s all you need to know.

Red Dead Redemption Netflix Port’s Reviews Do Not Look Good

The Red Dead Redemption remaster is available to play on Netflix, and many players have been disappointed by the mobile port, sparking confusion and anger. Many reviews have claimed that you would need to buy a subscription to Netflix to be able to play the game, and that without signing up for a Netflix account, you would not be able to access or play the game at all.

Now, the app that you would need to download to be able to play Red Dead Redemption has put out a disclaimer that you would need a Netflix account, which clearly warns people of the requirement to play the game. However, many of these one-star reviews suggest that people assumed the game would be given away for free.

Understandably, people would be upset about paying for a mobile game, considering most mobile games are free to download and play. However, Rockstar Games and Netflix have absolutely made it clear that a Netflix account is required to play, which makes a lot of these one-star reviews a little unfair. Here are some of the reviews people have posted over on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit:

“Can’t play without a Netflix subscription. 👎I along with millions of other people have canceled our Netflix subscriptions due to their shenanigans, and you know what I’m talking about. I won’t re-sub for a videogame by any means. Blocking this behind a pay wall to a tarnished brand name ruined this one from the get-go.”

“Absolutely terrible. You need a external Netflix account to even access the game. You cannot try as a guest. You need to be a buyer of their subscription which right there turned me off.”

“Not F2P (NOT Free to Play) This game requires you to sign into an active Netflix subscription to even open the game. the anger I feel towards this summy nonsense is beyond wordsI’m allowed here. for a game that came out on PS3 and they still try to milk money out of is ridiculous. I hope this system fails!”
