Sarpedon-D God Roll Guide in Destiny 2
Spreadshot Hand Cannons were introduced with the first Arms Week. Since then, they have found popularity in the Crucible. Sarpedon-D is the first Arc Spreadshot Hand Cannon that players can farm for in Destiny 2. The Hand Cannon drops from completing Pinnacle Ops activities. In the current week, players can complete the Birthplace of the Vile Grandmaster Vanguard Alert for guaranteed drops with a bonus origin trait.
Sarpedon-D Information
Sarpedon-D is an Arc Spreadshot Hand Cannon introduced in Destiny 2: Renegades. Because it drops from Pinnacle Ops, it has a chance to get the Accelerated Assault Origin Trait. The trait reloads the weapon and grants a 5% (or 6% if tier 5) bonus damage after dealing sustained damage. All Sarpedon-D’s dropping pre-masterworked will have the origin trait.
Sarpedon-D Perks
Column 3
- Impromptu Ammunition, Eddy Current, Lead From Light, Proximity Power, Trickle Charge, To the Pain
Column 4
- Collective Pugilism Rolling Storm, One-Two Punch, Trench Barrell, Voltshot, Desperate Measures
PvE God Roll

Spreadshot Hand Cannons are only one of two weapon archetypes that can get One-Two Punch. However, due to it being a primary ammo weapon, its damage increase is half that of a Shotgun. As a result, One-Two Punch is not an ideal option for this weapon. If you want another option for melee-based builds, Trench Barrel is the way to go. Otherwise, our best overall PvE combination is Trickle Charge and Rolling Storm. Combining the two will reduce the number of times that you have to reload the weapon manually.
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Column 3: Trickle Charge
- Column 4: Rolling Storm (Trench Barrel)
- Masterwork: Stability
- Origin Trait: Accelerated Assault (Problem Solver, if no masterworked weapon)
PvP God Roll
While Sarpedon-D’s archetype is powerful in PvP, the weapon itself falls by the wayside. It lacks the dominant perk pool to keep up with the rest of the Spreadshot Hand Cannons. However, if you were not around to farm a previous one, Sarpedon-D will do the trick. To the Pain is the only option for perks in the third column, but it will grant good bonuses to the weapon. Much like the third column, Desperate Measures is the only choice in the fourth column to help the Hand Cannon in the Crucible.
- Barrel: Smoothbore
- Magazine Accurized Rounds
- Column 3: To the Pain
- Column 4: Desperate Measures
- Masterwork: Range
- Origin Trait: Any
How to Farm Sarpedon-D
Sarpedon-D can drop from completing any Pinnacle Ops activities. That includes conquests and Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts. Currently, the Birthplace of the Vile GM has a guaranteed masterworked drop.
