Sony Pictures Virtual Reality Announces The Boys’ Very First Game The Boys: Trigger Warning
Prime Video’s smash hit series, The Boys, is coming out with its very own video game, The Boys: Trigger Warning, and it definitely has its quirks. First announced earlier in the month, this is a VR game that is launching on PSVR2 & Meta Quest in Spring 2026. The PS2-like graphics have a lot of people reminiscing about the good old days, and here’s what people have to say about the game now.
The Boys: Trigger Warning Releases Spring 2026
Amazon, in partnership with Arvore Immersive Games and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, has announced The Boys’ very first game, The Boys: Trigger Warning. The game was announced earlier in the month, with the announcement trailer released on IGN‘s official YouTube channel.
The game will feature all our favorite characters from the show, including Butcher, Homelander, Ashley, Kimiko, and even Soldier Boy. Though this game is set inside The Boys universe, this is an original story following Lucas Costa, a regular guy who gains superpowers with Temp V, after a nightmare family outing. The announcement trailer had many people talking about the look of the game, and here’s what they had to say.
An Old School PS2 Tie-In
The old school PS2 look has come back, and it’s definitely the look of The Boys: Trigger Warning. It’s the best of both worlds, an old school video game look in one of the most popular series to come out in the last 5 years. The old school PS2 tie-in also has people feeling the nostalgia. We all remember how the PS2 adapted so many films and series into games, from Shrek to Kung Fu Panda.
The Boy: Trigger Warning follows that same footprint in this modern era of gaming. The only difference is that this game isn’t releasing on the PS2 and is a VR game exclusive. The Boys: Trigger Warning will launch sometime in the Spring next year and is available to pre-order now.
