All Locations in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom 2024

All locations in the legend of zelda echoes of wisdom

Out of all locations in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, not all of them will be familiar. It’s going to be set primarily in Hyrule, which is a place that has been explored quite a lot. Most players are very familiar with the layout and the locations within this fantasy land. However, a new game brings new opportunities, and it looks like Nintendo has a few new corners of Hyrule to explore. Even the classics will likely have new surprises to behold. Here’s where you can expect to go in the newest Zelda game this September.

All Locations in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom

Jabul Waters

Jabul Waters is a brand new location in this franchise. No other game has explored this. It is where the Zora live, so it’s part of the Zora Domain. That has been explored plenty, but this area and its name are brand new to the franchise. In all 29 games, no one’s ever been to Jabul Waters. Echoes of Wisdom is going to change that. The trailer voiceover says it is home to the most scenic waterways in Hyrule. Both species of Zora (Sea and River) live here. Of all locations in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, this is the one that Nintendo designed specially for this game.

Gerudo Desert

Unsurprisingly, one of the most important locations in the Zelda franchise is returning. The Gerudo people reside in the desert, and that is the birthplace of Ganondorf. Ganon does make an appearance in the first trailer but it is not clear if he’s going to be the main villain. Nevertheless, the Gerudo Tribe are very important to Zelda lore and they and their hometown will be explorable in Echoes of Wisdom. As Zelda and not Link, players won’t have to sneak into the fortress, which admittedly looks a lot like the layout of the region in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Eldin Volcano

Eldin Volcano is another classic Zelda location, most notably being visited in Skyward Sword. It is one of the three main locations in that game and players spend a lot of time there. It’s back in 2D format and will provide a new layer of exploration. It’s still as dangerous as ever with molten lava flowing everywhere, but there are plenty of ways to traverse. That might include using Zelda’s echoes feature to avoid certain death.

Faron Wetlands

The Faron Wetlands are a familiar spot. They were prominently featured in the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom version of Hyrule. They’re back and it’s still experiencing some rain and wet weather. This is where Echoes of Wisdom players can find a Deku Scrub, an enemy that hasn’t been in mainline games for some time. A few other locations like Kakariko Village were mentioned in the trailer. It is also feasible that Nintendo hasn’t shown off the entire world yet.

Zelda games are often marked by their use of fast travel. With such a vast world to explore, some way of getting around that doesn’t include walking has been present in a lot of video games in this series. Echoes of Wisdom will be no different. It will have Waypoints to interact with all across Hyrule that are very similar to the owl statues in Majora’s Mask. This will allow you to go from Jabul Waters to Gerudo Desert and back to Eldin Volcano if you want.
