The Big Winners of Gamescom 2024
For those keeping count, Monster Hunter Wilds ended up taking home the most awards with four of them. With the amount of people crowding to get a chance to play the demo, its success at the Gamescom Award Show comes as no surprise. The team behind the first game in the sixth generation of the Monster Hunter series also showed their immense dedication. The developers had fun playing their game while talking about the changes and improvements players will experience. Their obvious love for the game and its future players is likely another reason why Monster Hunter Wilds is already winning big before release.
The second biggest winner of the event was Little Nightmares 3. The horror adventure by Supermassive Games won in three out of four categories it was nominated for. Its ominous and eerie nature and likely deep story are why it won its awards. If the third game in the series is anything like the previous two made by Tarsier Studios, it’s bound to be a terrifying time. Tarsier Studios is working on another horror game called Reanimal. The world got an official look at the game during Gamescom 2024. Both Reanimal and Little Nightmares 3 will be co-op.
