Ark: Survival Ascended unveiled its 2025 Valentine’s Day event, dubbed Love Ascended. This celebration showers players with exclusive awards that embrace the festive spirit with numerous pink and heart-themed delights. As part of the Love Ascended event, players of Survival Ascended can look forward to a fresh batch of tames, EXP boosts, and cosmetic items. Veteran players may be familiar with these items, as each year’s event introduces new additions. Although these longtime Ark enthusiasts have already collected most of the available loot, it still begs the question: what else can they look forward to?
The 2025 Love Ascended Event
Strategically, this year’s Love Ascended event is positioned between two major DLC expansions for Ark: Survival Ascended: Extinction and Ragnarok. While the Extinction DLC was launched in December, Ragnarok is slated for an April release following delays. Furthermore, the event caters to both new and experienced players by offering a mix of old and new rewards. As a result, it fosters a sense of community within the Survival Ascended universe.
Furthermore, lapsed players can re-engage with the game as the event presents a compelling opportunity. Specifically, they’ll have the chance to earn unique rewards and one-of-a-kind tames before it concludes. Love Ascended showcases not only the game’s ongoing support but also its exciting content pipeline. What’s more? The 2025 Love Ascended event is scheduled to run from February 12 at 10 A.M. PST to February 19 at 10 A.M. PST. Ultimately, his limited-time window offers an opportunity for players to participate and claim their rewards.
Introducing Three Ark Creatures
The 2025 Valentine’s Day event for
Ark: Survival Ascended will introduce three creatures, including two returning favorites and a brand-new addition. As a previously unseen species, the Lovebirds are shrouded in mystery. As a result, players wonder about their characteristics, habitats, and potential rewards. Having appeared in previous Valentine’s Day events, the Love Bugs are a familiar fight. While these smaller variants of Rhyniognatha cannot be tamed, they can be found throughout various maps, dropping a unique item called Love Bug Hearts. Notably, this special item is considered a valuable resource for
crafting exclusive rewards.
Rounding out the trio, the VDay Coel is the third creature, who offers players
another opportunity to engage with the game’s Valentine’s Day content. Additionally, Love Ascended 2025 sees the return of the Valentine’s Day Coelacanth variant. Throughout Ark’s vast environments, players can find this distinctive, pink-tinted version of the common coelacanth fish. For players to catch this special variant, however, the Love Bug Heart has to be used as bait. While this strategic move may prove fruitful, it can yield various exclusive rewards, including Boxes o’ Chocolate, which features novel mechanics this year, Dino Candies, and Chibis.

With these skins, players can customize their characters’ appearances, particularly clothing, accessories, and furniture, among others. Throughout the game world, players can also select various creature colors as they allow it to apply unique hues to wild dinos. Regarding creature colors, the Love Ascended event brings vibrancy to the game’s wildlife. During this limited-time event, players can find certain wild creatures randomly spawning in a variety of colors, including:

Encountering a dino with one of these unique colors will allow players to tame it, bringing more color to their collection of companions. Although this year’s celebration doesn’t introduce new creature colors, the colorful palette from previous years will be available.
How to Participate in the Love Ascended Event
To join the Love Ascended event, first install the associated mod, which begins on the Main Menu. Once there, select the mod tab and search for Love Ascended in the ARK Mod list. When found, install the mod using the ID: 927084 to install it. Afterward, return to the game setup screen and select ‘Mod Settings.’ Here, find and press Love Ascended listed under ‘Available Mods’ to activate the mod. Moreover, hosting private servers requires adding the mod ID to the server’s command-line launch arguments (-mods=927084), enabling it. Fortunately, no additional modifications are needed to
activate the event. That said, unofficial server administrators should know not to remove the mod before the new skins and unlockables migrate to the base game files, or they may lose their items.
