What We Know About Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The setting of Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in 16th-century Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama era. While exploring this past version of Japan, you will be playing as two distinct characters. During the world premiere of the trailer, Ubisoft also released a biography of the dual protagonists in this game. Naoe is a shinobi from the remote and mountainous Iga Province, and Yasuke is a powerful and legendary samurai who hails from Africa.
In the game, the two become a duo as they discover a common destiny while fighting off foes in the turbulent time in Japan’s history known as the Sengoku period. It was during this time when civil wars broke out across Japan and caused great amounts of grief for many people. While helping bring some sort of peace during this time, Naoe and Yasuke will help bring a new era, a new Creed to Japan.
You can already place your pre-order for Assassin’s Creed Shadows ahead of its confirmed November 15, 2024 release date with three editions to choose from. Each has its own benefits. The Standard Edition costs around $70, the Gold Edition costs around $110, and the Ultimate Edition costs around $130. The ones who purchase Gold and Ultimate will get to play the game three days earlier, and anyone who pre-orders will have a bonus quest called Thrown to the Dogs. With any version that players choose to buy, this game is sure to be a unique addition to a well-known franchise.
Assassin’s Creed has been a major game franchise since 2007, though they have lost some allure over the last few years.
