It’s just in and the public has voted! Astro Bot has won five BAFTA AWARDS, yep you read that right FIVE. The BAFTA Awards a coming to a close and they are choosing the winners for each category and our insanely cute just ran off with enough golden masks to make the Drake Brother’s jealous.
Here’s what our bot buddy won! Astro Bot nabbed wins in Animation, Audio Achievement, Best Game, Family, and Game Design. So, it’s safe to say this wasn’t just a win; it was domination (so cute, yet so fierce!).

- Animation: Astro doesn’t just move; he performs, and quite splendidly, we might add. Every flip, every wink, jetpack puff, and little dance is a masterclass of expressive animation.
- Audio Achievement: The sound design? Chef’s Kiss! The woosh of the air as you run ( or jet through), the clinking of coins collected? Everything syncing up perfectly just makes it so satisfying.
- Best Game: This one’s HUGE! Astro Bot beat our massive titles and walked away with the crown. This tiny little robot just dethroned giants!
- Family: This game is the perfect family game. You can safely play it with your annoying little cousins, your grandma who constantly asks what’s going on, and your jaded gamer friend! All together! Without any sort of no-no because of who joined you.
- Game Design: The levels were masterful! The puzzles? Clever enough without being too difficult. The use of Playstation tech was next level! No wonder they jetted off with this award!
Final Thoughts
This wasn’t just a win for Astro Bot. It was a win for Team ASOBI! They were able to create a family-friendly platformer that gamers could play with anyone in their lives. This game has probably been part of someone’s family game night by now and it well deserves to be! This little extra that started as a showcase for the DualSense has graduated into a full-blown industry success!
