Baldur’s Gate 3: New Evil Endings Coming Soon

Dungeons & Dragons, a tabletop board game from the 1970s, is still as relevant as ever in 2024. It comes as no surprise that Dungeons & Dragons has infiltrated the video gaming world. Baldur’s Gate 3, the third installation of the Baldur’s Gate franchise, is a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired RPG. On its launch in 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 accumulated almost a million concurrent players, with weekends still amassing 100k players or more. The game’s relevance is thanks to the continuous updates Larian Studios produces. Coming soon, Patch 7 will be deployed. With it will be a multitude of game-changing features.

One of Baldur’s Gate 3’s most iconic player characters is The Dark Urge. This Origin character is cursed with the urge to kill, but they do not know why. This character is one of the most fun to play in the game, and with this upcoming patch, Dark Urge players have more to look forward to when it comes to completing the game. Currently, the Dark Urge is most active in Act I. However, with Patch 7 on the way, the Dark Urge will receive multiple new endings and dialogue options. These endings aren’t exclusive to this Origin, though- any truly evil characters will have access. It’s time for a genocide run!

Baldur’s Gate 3 In-Game Mod Manager

Game modifications, or mods, are a critical part of the gaming world. The introduction of an official Mod Manager in Baldur’s Gate 3 is massive for extending the lifespan of the game. Mods keep video games fresh, and with the amount of high-quality mods out there, a Mod Manager is a welcomed feature for organization and customization. In this patch, the Mod Manager will allow you to browse, install, and use community mods at a whim in-game. Baldur’s Gate 3 mods range from adding new races and hairstyles to changing the gameplay completely with trial-like gameplay. Mods like Fantastical Multiverse, Tav’s Hair Salon, and more will soon be available at players’ fingertips.

Other Fixes And Changes

A vast variety of other tweaks and changes are coming with Patch 7. In fact, it’s been delayed a couple of times due to the sheer amount of changes being employed. From improved split-screen gameplay to Honor Mode mechanics in Custom Mode, Patch 7 is packed with new content. Other improvements touch on improving the UI, gameplay, writing, flow, and performance. Along with some new cinematics, immersion-breaking bugs like Gale’s Necrotic Aura staying active for longer than it should will be fixed in this update. The patch notes provided by Larian Studios aren’t a complete list, either. More will come soon with the official release of Patch 7 to Baldur’s Gate 3
