Bandai Namco just released a new trailer for their eagerly awaited co-op release Elden Ring Nightreign, and it reveals one major change to the Soul’s style of combat as we know it. If you’ve ever wanted to be an archer in the world of Elden Ring but felt it was a little underpowered, stay tuned because it’s about to get a whole lot better. From Software is known for their quality of gameplay above all else, and this trailer only bolsters their reputation. With that said, let’s take a look at just how massive this change is for our future in the desolate world of Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign | Ironeye Character Trailer
Archery as we knew it in the Soul’s series was never exactly viable for conquering difficult enemies. Now, with the latest trailer release from Bandai Namco featuring the character of Ironeye, we can see quite a few updates to the mechanics of archery. There’s finesse, power, agility, and acrobatics breathing new life into every arrow locked and fired. However, for those who just want to use a bow as an auto-locking device to ping large enemies or quickly dispense of low-level fodder, have no worries; that feature is still present.
Final Thoughts
The trailer reveals a handful of new mechanics, including firing multiple arrows at once, the ability to parkour on structures, and third-person precision-aiming for those well-timed headshots. Pairing all of this with your favorite Ashes of War is bound to be a spectacular experience. As seen in the trailer, it would appear that a well-aimed shot to the head can potentially disorient or stun certain enemies. This is huge for surviving in the murderous and fatal Lands Between.
Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for release on May 30th, 2025, and with every new trailer and announcement from Bandai Namco, our anticipation grows dramatically. As the Lands Between beckon all of us tarnished back, who will you choose to defend your group?
