Get Hype for Batman Arkham Shadow for Meta Quest

Batman: Arkham Shadow

Batman Arkham Shadow is the key to fully immersing Gamers in the bowels of Gotham’s worst scum. Talk about a dream come true for all those who sympathize with Bruce and think there isn’t anything better than betting criminals until all they can eat is baby food in prison.

Developed by Camoflaj, who also brought Iron Man VR, this take on DC’s Comics Batman is a virtual reality game for Oculus Meta Quest 3 and is the eighth installment in the Batman: Arkham Series. Things are different this time as there is a new villain spreading terror across the city, and the whispers hint at his identity as The Rat King.

Batman Arkham Shadow takes place roughly 2 years after the events of Batman Arkham Origins. The city has barely recovered from its last major terror, the Black Mask brought down on the city. Now it’s almost the Fourth of July, and the Rat King is flooding the city with his cultish devotees. If that wasn’t bad enough, they have Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent.

Those aren’t the only public officials they have abducted, as The Rat King intends to execute them all. Batman only has a week to swing in and undo the entire Rat King’s infiltrator and plots before the Day of Warth. The city is engulfed in riots, law enforcement is in disarray, and crime is everywhere as Batman uses those seven days to save the city, but The Rat King is waiting and ready for him.

Is VR The Way To Go With Batman?

There really isn’t anything like putting on the Meta Quest 3 and seeing Gotham through Bruce Wayne’s eyes. You can almost feel the wind in your face as you swing over the dark side of Gotham City, landing on rooftops. The graphics depict a City burning with violins as you use Batman’s familiar and powerful gadgets as well as beat the living daylights out of The Rat King’s thugs.

Some have stated that VR isn’t the route they want to experience Batman gameplay to head toward. This may be true, but also there is something to say about another level of gaming that is so immersive. Meeting a character’s experience through VR is a different feel from having a controller in hand and reciting through a screen. Batman Arkham Shadow lets you search, punch, swing, and conquer the worst Gotham has to offer in a way you can almost smell those Rat King’s goons.

When Will We See It and Who May Be There

There hasn’t been much information given, but we can estimate that along with executing vengeance on criminals, Arkham Shadows will provide puzzles to solve, stealth, and complex situations for gamers to figure out. Not only that, but it is sure to have the characters we love who help Bruce fight against Gotham’s degenerates, such as Alfred Pennyworth. There hasn’t been anything said about Dick Grayson/ Robin or any other cameos of Batman’s main villains like the Joker or Mr. Freeze extra.

If you want to put the hurt on Gotham worst in a new way, save Gorden and Harvey, take down the Rat King, and put him in a maze without cheese, then Arkham Shadows isn’t something you want to miss. Seeing Gotham through VR is member-making as gamers have the chance to be the night, shadow, fear, the Batman. Batman Arkham Shadow release for Meta Quest 3 this fall.
