In Cult of The Lamb, upgrades and make or break your crusades. The tarot cards you get, the weapons you choose, and whether or not you choose a companion can spell the difference in a tough battle. While things like tarot cards and weapons are left up to chance each crusade, there are certain upgrades that you can equip on your own in the Temple. Here are the best crown Upgrades in Cult of The Lamb.
The Crown
When you enter the Temple, you’ll see multiple options to help you with missions or cult management. Things like Rituals that you’ve unlocked and can perform will help you with your cult and followers, or giving a Sermon will help you gather devotion. The Crown option will provide helpful upgrades you can use on your crusades. “Resurrection” is a beneficial upgrade and a definite must. This upgrade will allow you to return to life after dying for the first time on a crusade. This will require a follower’s sacrifice, but you can choose the follower you sacrifice.
“Omnipresence” will allow you to instantly return to your cult during a crusade without dying first. This is helpful for when you’re getting concerning updates about your cult and feel the need to go back and solve problems. “Darkness Within” will give you a diseased heart at the beginning of your crusade. These hearts are not only extra life but also can damage enemies when you take damage. Another Crown upgrade is “The Hunger,” which will give you a heart depending on your eating.
Of all these upgrades, the most useful will be “Resurrection” and “Darkness Within.” Of course, being able to return to the cult is helpful, but these two Crown upgrades help your crusade in real-time. Being able to resurrect after dying is very useful, especially if you manage to survive until you reach a challenging boss level.
Fleece
You will also see different fleece options in the Crown category within the Temple. Each fleece you unlock will give you different abilities to help you on your crusade. The Golden Fleece will increase the damage you deal to enemies with each kill, but that meter resets once you’ve been hit, and you take double the damage. Fleece of The Fates allows you to draw four tarot cards at the beginning of your crusade, but you can’t draw anymore afterward.
Fleece of the Berserker will bring challenge and entertainment to your crusades. It allows you to deal 10x the weapon damage, but you’ll die in one hit, with no resurrections. There are many different kinds of fleeces with many of these features, so it’s worth changing your fleece depending on what kind of crusade you’re going on.
Conclusion
Cult of The Lamb can be as difficult or easy as you want. With Crown upgrades, fleeces, and changes to difficulty settings (no judgments), you can have a challenging or easygoing game. Cult management can eventually become almost automated once you upgrade your cult enough, so crusades and challenges will keep you coming back. Ensure you always check out your Crown upgrades and try to unlock all available fleeces.
