Judging purely by the location the sword is found in, it might top this list. It’s a great weapon, one that provides a pretty significant boost in this game, too. What sets the Tears of the Kingdom sword apart is that it features a unique narrative. The sword is broken, impossibly, and is sent to the past. With no major spoilers, the journey the sword goes on is incredible from a narrative perspective, and finding it again as a full, non-broken sword is wonderful and totally unique even in this series.
1) Skyward Sword
Skyward Sword‘s Master Sword is one of those that gets upgraded as Link goes on his heroic journey. It’s a great sword and a useful weapon that gets a little stronger with every milestone in the game. That’s all well and good, but the Skyward Sword Master Sword is really the only one that feels special. In the entire series, most versions of this iconic weapon are just stronger swords, but the Skyward Sword one is different. It is imbued with the power of the Goddess and it has a special ability as a result. That’s are and makes this sword the absolute best version.
