Black Myth: Wukong was released on 20 August 2024 and it quickly became one of the most-played games of all time. It is an Action RPG that is based on the classic Chinese Novel “Journey to the West”. This game follows the story of the legendary character of Sun Wukong on his quest. It features a linear open world with a ton of secret quests and items. This article will go over how to collect and complete the quest associated with Buddha’s Eyeballs.
How to Start
To start the quest in Black Myth: Wukong, players must first find the first pair of eyes at Fright Cliff region in Chapter 2. Start at the Yellow Wind Ridge Shrine at the Valley of Despair. From the shrine, travel backward, cross the bridge, and then turn left. Keep going forward and you will reach Fright Cliff’. Slightly go forward and players will find a Buddha’s statue with glowing eyeballs. Interact with it and players will receive the first Buddha’s Eyeball.
Other Eyeballs
From the first statue in Black Myth: Wukong, travel left and up the staircase. Keep going and eventually, you will see another staircase on the left. Go there and there will be another Buddha statue. Now turn back and cross the bridge. Head left and there will be a few staircases. Traverse them and there will be another Buddha’s statue.
Now go back to where you find the first statue and turn to the left side. There will be a dark pathway leading to a gate. Keep moving in a straight path and players will eventually reach a fire burning. Up ahead there will be another Buddha’s Statue. Now turn back and there will be another pathway behind. Keep going and where the paths split into three paths take the middle path. There again take the left path and you will reach the fifth Buddha’s statue.
To find the last statue, travel back to where the path split into three and take the leftmost path. Keep going up, there will be a boss called Mother of Stone. It is not necessary to interact with the boss and keep moving forward and players will find the last Buddha’s statue.
Secret Boss & Rewards
Once all 6 eyeballs have been collected in Black Myth: Wukong, players must travel to the Rockrest Flat Shrine in Fright Cliff and defeat the Stone Vanguard boss fight. After the boss has been defeated, a large stone will appear. Interact with it and players will be able to put their eyes into the stone. This will result in a secret boss called “Shigandang” and the final step of the questline is to defeat the boss. Defeat this boss and players will get the following rewards:
- Heart of Stone item
- 3 Silk material
- Mind Core item
- Skandha of Feeling item
